Do You Know the Fair Housing Rules about Service Animals From the Real Estate Files 2.pub Service Animals Many landlords and property managers do not know that people with disabilies have the right under both Federal and California Law to use the services of a guide, signal or service animal and to keep those animals in their residences. In fact, a “service animal” is specifically defined by law to not be considered a “pet.” They are given the same definion as an auxiliary aid such as a wheel‐ chair, walker etc. A service animal can be any species. Yesterday my cousin in South Carolina, Caroline, notified me of a toxin hidden in foods that can kill dogs. It was from a dog rescue newsletter she had received. Dr. David, McGrath, DVM has determined that toxins inside low calorie sweeteners that go by the name of XYLITOL can kill our fur babies. Apparently 2 sticks of gum can kill a 10 pound dog. More and more foods are using this compound to sweeten foods for human consumption. This is just another reason why we should not be giving our dogs table scraps. Other foods include (8 comments)
google kristin hamilton: Stopped By Escrow and Visited the Duck Pond
- 07/23/14 06:48 AM
Stopped By Escrow and Visited the Duck Pond Yesterday I had to pick up a closing package at escrow, Lawyers Escrow in San Bernardino, and stopped by the 'Duck Pond' next door. It is a man made pond and is full of birds. Sometimes I see the Canadian Geese, a variety of Ducks, an Egreg and on rare occasions I see a Blue Heron. And while standing there, I could see orange fish out in the middle of the pond jumping up out of the water.

We all have followed the suggestions given to us at seminars, our brokerages, or from other agents to have a successful open house.
Our purpose for an open house is to get as many potential buyers to stop by and view your home. Things like farming the area, making flyers, having giveaways, signs and balloons, making cookies, serving refreshments and flowers/candles but there are other ideas to let you stand out from the others. Make sure there is a Lender at your open house event and that she/he has the tools (0 comments)
Last night on July 12, 2014 was the second of 3 supermoons this year. The term is use to signify that it is a 'Perigee full moon' meaning it is closer to the earth. This lunar phase also causes elevated tides around the world. This supermoon appears 14% closer to the earth and 30% brighter.
The name 'Supermoon' was coined by an astrologer, Richard Nolle, over 30 years ago. The term has become accepted by all and popular in 2011.
I know there is so much speculation out there as what you can and cannot do to be successful in the real estate world. I have tried many things that work, only work once and things that do not work at all. Live and Learn and spend money trying. But I have decided after all these years that it is not just one particular item but instead three separate items to survive in this hectic world we have thrown ourselves into.
First of all I think 'Great Communication' with your clients and (14 comments)

- 04/26/14 02:50 PM
Sensei Came Through for Grasshopper with Google+ Problem I posted several weeks ago that I was having problems posting my ActiveRain blog on Google+. Of course, I was baffled when I started getting blocked and then the Trulia merger came about and I thought this was the issue. But sadly after adding the word 'trulia" into my email links, it was still blocked and not working.
ActiveRain Ambassador Jerry Newman sent me an email and said he could help. We emailed back and forth a few times and this week we talked for about an hour. Jerry had me go (10 comments)

This was what my blog looked like this morning but I decided I needed to add some fall trees instead of some summer flowers.
Here I added a larger picture so I get the double images. AR recommends 300X300 and this was 399 X 295.
I made the photo smaller, 314 X 219 and I am pleased with it. If you cannot remember how to change your blog photo, go to my older post "Update your AR Blog for Springtime" as it has all the steps and will refresh your (4 comments)

Hungry birds have always been a problem and they eat the crops in the fields. The first recorded history of Scarecrows were over 2500 years ago when the Egyptians and Greeks put them in their fields to protect the wheat from large flocks of quail and other hungry birds. Immigrants who moved to the United States during the 1800s brought with them a variety of ideas for making scarecrows. In Pennsylvania, German farmers built human looking scarecrows called a bootzamon or bogeyman. His body was a wooden cross and his head was a (28 comments)
October is the month of the Full Hunter's Moon. This is the first Full Moon following the Harvest Moon last month. Some Native American tribes referred to this Moon as the Full Hunter's Moon, as it was the time to go hunting in preparation for winter. It rises around sunset and sets around sunrise, the only night in the month when the Moon is in the sky all night long. The picture I took was at 5:45 am this morning. This full Moon is (8 comments)
