Vacation Home Sales Boomed in 2014 in the US National Association of Realtors® have reported that "Vacation-Home" sales boomed in 2014. The last peak was back in 2006 but 2014 stats were even higher. NAR’s '2015 Investment and Vacation Home Buyers Survey' covering existing- and new-home transactions in 2014, shows vacation-home sales successfully rose to an estimated 1.13 million last year, the highest amount since NAR began the survey in 2003. Vacation sales were up 57.4 percent from 717,000 in 2013. I live in southern California so in the summer time we have some pretty warm weather a few months of the year, Aug and September, so I always feel fortunate when we have a rain or wind storm to cool and wash everything off. So a couple of nights ago, a wind storm just came up. I had just been to a class on videotaping on my telephone so I taped this poor tree being whipped around during the storm. Enjoy the video. Last week I was on the phone and had the back door open and heard all this commotion. As I went outside, I saw two red hawks flying off and every bird in the whole area was squealing and flying like crazy birds. Then they all hid in trees and it was dead silent except for some crying.
