In 2012, while on vacation in Pennsylvania, we drove to Shanksville, PA to visit the Memorial Park which is the crash site of Flight 93. 40 passengers/crew died that morning as it was plunged into the ground in the beautiful countryside near Lancaster. Chicago Blackhawk goalie Scott Darling recentlyspent his day with the Stanley Cup celebrating with family and friends while eating Portillo's Italian beef sandwiches. His family held a congratulatory party for him at a private residence and Portillo's catered the event in Chicago. Scott Darling's day with the Stanley Cup also included a public exhibition of the cup in partnership with the Lemont, IL Park District. Fun fact: Portillo's founder Dick Portillo purchased the 1938 Chicago Blackhawks championship banner that hung in the original Chicago Stadium. That banner now hangs inside the Portillo's at 100 W. Mark Towers of Ghana was on an expedition in the eastern tip of Nova Scotia today and landed a 1,000 Atlantic Bluefin Tuna. It only took him 2 hours to land but it was so massive that it required a tow into port and a forklift to get it onto the dock.
Unfortunately it does not break the world record as a 1496 pound fish was caught in 1979 in the waters of Nova Scotia.
