Surprises While Showing Property Yesterday

Yesterday while showing my buyers a home in Yucaipa CA, we came across several visitors in the yard. First we heard chickens clucking and there was a group of 5 or 6 just on the other side of the fence. Then here walks up a big rooster on our side of the fence. My buyers thought it was a great feature and did not see it as a problem.
Of course, I ran out to get my phone and take a few photos. Chuck-Chuck- and Cockadoodle-Do!

Today is National OREO Day and What is Your Favorite Kind

Did  you know that March 6 every year is National Oreo Day? Now this is my kind of day and I am sure many of you will agree.
Oreos come in many sizes, flavors, and even ice cream. Do you like cream filling, chocolate, double stuffed, peanut butter (new), bite size, ice cream sandwiches, and snack packs. I think they are all good but I might like to try the peanut butter soon.
How do you like your Oreos? Besides having an assortment of flavors, there is another … (14 comments)

Final Super Moon in 2014..Spectacular

Last night we experienced our final, 4th, Super Moon of the year. What this means is that the large and bright full moon was actually 31,000 miles closer than it is normally.
I am a Realtor in the Inland Empire of Southern California and the view was spectacular. We had a few clouds but that is because we had rain a few hours before and the clouds gave it character.

Indoor Plants Help Remove Biological Toxins and Make Your Air Quality Better

During the summertime we find ourselves spending more time indoors. Most homes have biological pollutants that can cause health problems. Poor air quality is typically the problem and not always detectable.

People who decorate their home with indoor greenery and household plants report less complaints about headaches, stress, and heart/circulation-symptoms, as well as a decrease in colds. NASA did a study that found common houseplants improve over all air quality; houseplants were able to remove up to 87 percent of air toxins in 24 hours. The … (6 comments)

Night Flowers are Beautiful & Vibrant

While outside at night taking Supermoon photos, I put my camera on Night Photography and took some flowers in my neighborhood and yard.

I love the way the colors pop out off the picture.

One drawback with night photography is that it shows up all imperfections.

Here is one of my favorite flowers.

You Say Sink or Swim so I am Swimming Fast

I have prepared myself to make videos and even bought a small video camera that anyone could operate. I set up my Youtube account but never make videos or posted any.
This month when I went to Sacramento for Legislative Day, I had my iphone and someone had showed me recently how to make a video on my phone. When the opening song started, they were singing 'The Star Spangled Banner" so I videotaped it. Unfortunately it held my phone sideways and so the video plays upside down. The … (8 comments)

Alert....The Warm Weather is Already Causing Rattlesnake Bites

Snakes are found throughout the world and snake bites are extremely common. Typically the most common and dangerous in the U.S. are the rattlesnakes which can cause severe tissue problems and sometimes death.
The weather is warming up and rattlesnakes are waking up and creeping around so beware. In San Bernardino Count, the rattlers of San Gorgonio Pass emerge from hibernation; authorities are dealing with frequent medical emergencies when the venomous snakes and people fail to keep away from one another.
The California Poison Control Center records about 800 bites each year … (13 comments)

Happy 25th Birthday to the Creation of the Internet

Today, March 12, 2014 is the 25th Birthday of the INTERNET.
Google posted this today and how remarkable that they received a copy of his original post. On the 25th anniversary of the World Wide Web, Google shared this guest post from Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the web.
On March 12, 1989, Berners-Lee distributed a plan to improve information flows: “a ‘web’ of notes with links between them. He reflected on the past, present and future of the web—and encouraged the rest of us to fight to keep it … (12 comments)
