My father was a Pilot/Navigator at March Air Force Base, CA so we lived in Riverside where I was born.
I remember attending Madison Elementary School. My mother would drive me to school in the morning and come back at noon and pick me up. We had a big blue and white Pontiac and I loved to stand outside and watch for our car to pull in the parking lot. Sometimes my dad would be on TDY so he would come to pick me up (10 comments)

Meet Gidget, a wired hair terrier who was abandoned at one of my REO properties. She weighed about 4 lbs and that was after I had had her a week and then took her to the vet for her shots. I thought she was about 2 months old but found out later she was 4 months old. The vet told me that Gidget was very lucky to have found you (me) as she would not have lived much longer; she was starving to death. He could tell from her breath and it took about 2 months before her breath (16 comments)

post Motivational Monday- Who is Your Role Model? Is there someone you came in contact with growing up that made you the person you are today? Someone you hold in high esteem, regard with respect, or someone who you saw as a role model to make you the person you are today? Perhaps someone you read about in school and made you strive to become a successful adult? Well, I will tell you who my role model is? You will probably laugh but it is “Donald Trump”. Trump is the son of Fred Trump, a real-estate tycoon and developer based in (6 comments)

Meet My Friendly Lizard! A few weeks ago while doing my weekly inspections at one of my REO properties; I came across a "friendly lizard" basking in the sunlight in the family room. I was extremely surprised as this home is spotlessly clean. This home is in Pending status so not much foot traffic anymore but perhaps it had snuck in before while visitors had the back patio slider open or during the Home Inspection. Anyway, I would like to share my picture. This was a big lizard as the tile on the floor is 12 X 12. I was surprised but (9 comments)
real estate: Anderson Cooper's Giggle Meltdown on TV......Funny!
- 08/19/11 04:01 PM
Longtime CNN anchor Anderson Cooper has kept his trademark cool through violent Middle East protests. But all it took to make him lose his composure on camera this week was a little potty humor! On his Wednesday show — which has now become popular on YouTube — Cooper dedicated his nightly “Ridiculist” segment to legendary French actor and restaurateur Gerard Depardieu, who this week was accused of urinating on the floor of a plane, delaying its takeoff. Cooper, who was already smiling at the beginning of the segment, couldn’t keep it together through puns such as, “Depardieu created his own little (12 comments)
Women are an economic force. But when it comes to saving for retirement, they face challenges that can put them at risk of outliving their assets. Very entrepreneurial, they also start (2 comments)

Home Price The supply of homes measured in months on the market at their current pace was up during June compared to May. This is keeping with inventory levels typically rise during the summer months. Month's supply remained 24% below the peak of 12.5 months in July 2010 and 14% above April of 2010 when the home buyer tax credit was in full swing. For the first time in a year, home prices are up year-over-year and month-over-month. This marks only the fourth time that prices have increased since June (8 comments)

real estate: Finding a Good Bike Shop is like Hiring a Realtor
- 08/10/11 02:25 AM
Finding a good Bike Shop is like Hiring a Realtor! In June, my daughter was preparing her move to Philadelphia and has two very nice bikes. So we took them to Redlands Cyclery USA and had them partially unassembled and boxed for the move. $100 for the two seemed reasonable as the bikes need to be protected going across country. She had always used Redlands Cyclery USA as they have a wonderful reputation, service dept is top notch, and they are nearby.
Arriving in Philadelphia, the dilemma begins. Looking on line there are “48 bike stores” so where do we (5 comments)

Speechless Sunday-Stop and Smell the Flowers! Here is one of my favorite pictures I would like to share on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. I caught a glimpse of my dog, Gidget, in the backyard smelling the flowers.
I think we all work in a hard market and probably most of us work 24/7 most weeks. Yes, we should all "Stop and Smell the Flowers" before they wilt and fall to the ground. We need to look around and appreciate what we see instead of always dwelling on what we want. (10 comments)
Skechers USA began moving its products into the new 1.8 million-square-foot building in Moreno Valley that will house the international footwear company's North American operations on May 8, 2011. The $250 million private investment, set on more than 200 acres south of Highway 60, came at a time when the economy was sluggish in the Inland Empire.
The building is nearing completion and should be fully operational soon. It takes several months to move in and complete hiring. The goods will come (12 comments)
Housing continues to frustrate everyone. Foreclosures which have dropped off have done so because lenders have delayed and extended the lengthy process in the wake of Foreclosure-Gate. However, homeowners have also slowly improved their debt to income ratios, strengthening their ability to make mortgage payments. The time for a housing revival should be here by now. However, it is still impacted by general economic uncertainty and slow job growth. A commencement of job creation in the labor market is what is needed (9 comments)
The launch of a new full touchscreen BlackBerry Torch was announced today by Research in Motion, along with a slate of other new smartphones, in conjunction with the launch of the BlackBerry 7 operating system. The specs of the new phones are modest, as BlackBerry is a bit new to the whole "performance phone" bracket, but may represent a strong response to the negative vibe that has surrounded the brand in the last few months. My Special Humming Bird While sitting in my backyard, I quietly waited for this little bird to stop. As it was quiet, I could hear it buzzing before it arrived just in time to get the zoom on my camera adjusted. Humming Birds are so beautiful and graceful. Normally they flit off before I can take the picture but today this bird seemed to know I wanted its picture so it waited a few seconds longer. Here is the picture I took. (11 comments)
