Riverside Historical Home $252,500- Just Closed Escrow I recently sold this great 1925 Craftsman style home in the "Downtown Historical District" of Riverside. One of the unique things about this home was that it was located in the 'first block' of the city when created in 1925. I was excited to be the listing agent of the sale of this great older home which had been well taken care of, remodeled and had a lot of major upgrades plus you could tell it was well loved.
When we talk about curb appeal, we usually mean green grass, flowers, welcome mat and nice paint. Now (6 comments)

Robert Schuller was a well respected man and I grew up watching him on TV on Sunday mornings when I missed church. He was a very powerful speaker and had a great following. His show was called "Power Hour" and is still broadcast by his grandson currently. He built a huge church, The Crystal Cathedral, in Garden Grove, CA with donations. He held church services there every Sunday and on Christmas and Easter. His broadcasted services reached 184 countries and he had millions of followers. They also had the reenactment of the birth of Jesus (10 comments)
Walt Disney's dream became a reality to open an amusement park in 1955. He bought 160 acres of farm land in Anaheim in 1954 and began construction of the park. It was finished and opened on July 1955 which was supposed to be a private grand opening party but there was conterfieted tickets and thousands showed up to see the new park. The park did not have enough food and drink and the Mark Twain raft ride almost capsized when too many jumped on.

UCLA Beats USC and the Bruin Bear is Hibernating Just Got to Brag that UCLA Won...Hooray Last night one of the great football games was played again and for the third year in a row, UCLA won and this time it was a landslide USC 20- UCLA 38. I went to UCR so I am always a UC follower plus I do not like that USC painted on the Bruin Bear in 'Red' paint "SC RUNS LA". What a disgrace event though the two teams always play tricks on each other. But since I am a nature lover, I was saddened that the (4 comments)

Inman News and Forbes recently confirmed that Google has pulled the 'Google Authorship' citing that they had determined it was ineffective for it users. John Mueller, Webmaster Trends Analyst for Google, stated they had observed that the information wasn't as useful as they had hoped and may have distracted from the results. After months of consideration, Google made the decision to stop showing authorship. Mueller said removing authorship generally doesn't seem to reduce traffic to sites nor (22 comments)
Today is the day to fly your flag to commemorate Flag Day and to remember the meaning of the words of our national anthem "The Star-Spangled Banner" written by Francis Scott Key. On August 24, 1814, The British military had burned the United States Capitol and White House. Americans feared the British would succeed and force the US to become a part of England again. Francis Scott Key's friend, Doctor William Beanes, had been captured by the British and Key decided to try to get him released. (18 comments)

1. Buy 'Potting Soil' when planting your new plants and trees. Every year you should replace the potting soil in your potted plants and flowers. 2. Make sure the flowers and shrubs you purchase and take home to plant, all take the same amount of sunlight and water. 3. Put taller plants in the back and shorter ones to the front and have a nice variety of colors. 4. Get saucers to put under your pots so that they hold water longer and stay moist. 5. Yesterday I was picking up my dogs at 'Doggy Day Care' and this hummingbird was right beside me buzzing around. I took 6 pictures with my smart phone and 4 were missing the bird completely.
The top one shows the bird and the second one shows the edge of the bird on the left. I suggest that you always try to have your camera as smart phones are slower and I find that nature is quicker.
Note, it did not come out too bad but not up to my normal hummingbird (22 comments)

The San Diego Zoo Global Team determined that the fetus was at risk so they decided to perform a C-Section on the gorilla. The team of doctors included the Global Team, and a local veterinarian surgeon and a neonatal specialist from UC San Diego Medical Center.
