Throwback Thursdays- A Surprise Photo of my Parents Just Married in 1939
My cousin (my dad's side) had a birthday recently and I sent him a card. The next thing I know he had sent me this photo of my mom and dad. He is on one of those anchestor websites and said someone had sent it to him. The second I saw the screen shot name, I knew it was my 2nd cousin Will on my mother's side.

I have so many photos of my parents when they were first married, then during my dad's first 3 years in the military. Then … (22 comments)

Throwback Thursdays- A Memorable Baptism Photo
Today I was feeling very sad for many families here in the United States and in Paris so I thought I would share one of my photos of happy times ago.

This special photo is framed and sits in my hallway and reminds me of good times many years ago and of such an important event in our lives. It was taken at my daughter's baptism at the March Air Force Base Chapel in Riverside, CA. It was such a fun morning and we had a lovely reception afterwards. My mother and father and in-laws were so happy … (6 comments)

Throwback Thursday-My First Cruise to Alaska

The inner beauty of Alaska  is unbelievable and you feel like you are on top of the world. We almost did not take the land tour but so glad we did. We have been back twice since and loved every moment.

This photo was taken by someone walking by  but it was perfectly aligned and we used it as our Christmas photo that year too.

Throwback Thursday- Fun Times in Lake Arrowhead
Lake Arrowhead Lake is Beautiful

I came across these pictures this week of my dearest friend Sonia and I. We had taken our kids up to Lake Arrowhead for breakfast, shopping at the outlet stores and a hike around part of the lake. These pictures are about 15 years old.

It was such a fun day but cold and crisp and the wind was blowing so my hair is crazy. Fun Days to remember. We are all still friends  and Sonia and I still live nearby though the kids have all … (16 comments)

Throwback Thursday- 1948 Wedding in Tennessee

Here is a picture of my parents on the left at my aunt's wedding in maybe 1948-1949. It was my dad's sister who was getting married.
I love these old family pictures and the fashion styles, military uniform and all the women are wearing gloves and hats.

Throwback Thursday- 1941 Police Department in Florida

My relatives come from Florida and recently sent me this photo. It is a photo of the Leesburg, Florida Police Department in 1941. I thought I would share this with everyone. This was a very volatile time in our world but there were good men who stepped up to protect the public.

Throwback Thursday- My Alaska Vacation in 2007
I have been to Alaska three times but never get tired of the scenery there. I think I never realized how much I loved nature and taking pictures until I went there the first time.
My parents were stationed at Fairbanks Air Force Base so I somehow feel like we are walking in their footsteps.

Red Dog Saloon in Juneau, Alaska. Wyatt Earp left a gun here which is displayed in a shadow box. He never came back to get it so here is stays.

Standing at the top of the … (21 comments)

Throwback Thursday- Halloween Photos 1989
I remember every October we would plan our costumes and usually end up going to a costume party.

Here is a collage of some of my favorite photos of 1989. I was a flapper and I have no idea what my spouse was...maybe a nerd?

Sebastion, our Cocker Spaniel even got into the festive spirit as he tried to sneak some candy.

One year I was an 'Evil Witch' and another year I dressed as 'Dorthy in the Wizard of Oz'. I bet we all had some great costumes so if you … (22 comments)

Throwback Thursday- 8th Grade School Picture that Seems Like Yesterday

This picture was taken at Chemawa Junior High School, Riverside CA when I was in the 8th grade.

I especially like how the haircut was uneven. I always wore bows and ribbons in my hair and it looks like my hair was bleached really light blonde.

How the world has changed but the Chemawa Jr. High School is still there. Great memories and friends I will never forget.
