I took this photo while waiting to get on the freeway last week. Of course I could have gotten a citation for picking up my phone but thought it was worth the risk and I was stopped at a long light and put my car in park. Riding a bike is such a well loved and popular sport in California so why not Santa?

Ideas to Decorate Your House on a Dime for Thanksgiving


Suggestions:
Craft stores and dollar stores have a great selection of decorations. Specialty stores have ideas and table decorations for a beautiful table. Add a few decorations to your current dishes, placements, tablecloths to make it festive. Linens and Dishes can be purchased and used over and over for many years. After Thanksgiving, most stores will greatly discount their decorations for next year. Box up your decorations and LABEL THE BOX so you can find them next year.

Decorate Your Yard for Fall with Scarecrows
I love the fall season and like to add a touch to my yard. Just makes it seem a little more fall like and the scare crows make me smile. 
 

Here is a big couple who keep an eye on my big pots. I found these at Big Lots on sale.
 

Tootie, my little chihuahua, enjoys the scarecrows too.
 

 
 Then I went to the dollar store and bought these scarecrows  for $1 each and stuck them into the small pots.

What Event Turned My Life's Direction Towards
'Real Estate'

My mom had been in the hospital (11 years ago) and since th Master Bedroom in our home was downstairs and other bedrooms upstairs, we had to give my mom our master bedroom for a week until she was able to go home with part-time care. 
So that got us thinking about selling our home and buying a new one with a downstairs bedroom and bath suite for her. We thought maybe she would come and stay with us permanently someday and should be ready for the event.
