Have you been to Oak Glen, in Southern California lately? If you haven't its time to make a trip up to our little mountainy gem most of us know as the half-day getaway above Yucaipa, Calimesa and Beaumont. Oak Glen is known for their apple orchards, berries and rich history. And a getaway is better topped off with a nice lunch or dinner before going home. On the Tuesday, January 26th, front page of one of the Inland Empire's newspaper's, here in Southern California, the San Bernardino Sun- The top-left article's headline reads: "HOME SALES TUMBLE 17 PERCENT" and the sub-title "Monthly Drop is biggest in 40 years" "Holy crap! "I Don't Like Beaumont, in California- Its too Windy!" or Beaumont's Bad Rap as the Windy City As an agent focused on the Beaumont, California area, and as a Beaumont resident- I hear this negative comment from time to time from clients, friends and family members semi-familiar with the area. Yes we can have some gusts now and again. Yes its more breezy here in Beaumont compared to say, Redlands. Yes we had a wind storm in 2007.
