georgetown: Red Poppy Festival

Everyone should come to Georgetown, Texas for our annual Red Poppy Festival on April 24th and 25th. It is great fun and held on our square in historic downtown. We have a parade, vendor shows, live music and dancing. We even have a 5k run. This should be a wonderful Bluebonnet season as well. I'm no Horticulturist, but usually when it freezes, that leaves the Texas hill country with a very colorful spring. … (0 comments)

New home sales all over the nation have taken a huge hit the last couple of years, but the Austin, TX. area seems to be somewhat stable. Taylor-Morrison Homes in the Villages of Berry Creek have 2 completed field models under $200,000. They are offering incentives and drawings for trips to Disney World. Georgetown, Texas has been ranked number one destination for retiring seniors. The ranking came from "Retirement Places Rated". I sold new homes at Sun City Texas for 4 years and heard from hundreds of my customers that would travel the nation in their RV's. They all commented the beauty of the Texas hill country. Settled in the trees and hills of Georgetown, TX. is a beautiful subdivision called Berry Creek. It is a golf course community with full golfing/tennis memberships.
