Monday October 15th, Williams Gateway Airport in Mesa Arizona became Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.  With this new name change however motorists driving through Chandler and Gilbert need to be aware that there will be dozens of directional signs along Chandler Boulevard and along other nearby streets that will continue to point vehicles to "Williams Gateway Airport." Officials in both Mesa and Gilbert said they don't yet know when these signs will be replaced, but agree that it makes sense to change the signs. Cost for each sign to change them is about $100.
