Mecklenburg County, the home of Charlotte, is due for a revaluation of property taxes. This comes at a time when residents are stressed enough already with the current real estate market. However, North Carolina requires that property values be set atleast every 8 years. Currently, Charlotte residents are paying property taxes based on 2003 PROPERTY VALUES.
