Hi everybody.I thought I would start off my photo blogs with my own home town of Hillsdale. I grew up in Hillsdale and lived in a home that my father and grandfather built many years ago way back in the late 1940's. My grandfather was a builder in town and some of his other homes are still standing in there original form. I guess they were built well. Some other homes he built were in Oradell as well as Westwood. One of the homes that I got to see before it was torn down was in Oradell and it had a very identifiable look to me. Hi everyone. After so many cold days this winter, I just thought I would post some spring pictures as we are turning the half way point of winter this year. I thought we could all use a breath of fresh air. I took these pictures last year and thought it would be a nice reminder to all of us that spring is just around the corner while we sit here in New Jersey with 20 degree temperatures. When I decided to start up my own blog, I thought to myself that many of you know that I'm into photography. I thought what better place to share my love of my local towns. Towns that I have grown up in. They are continuing to change and grow right in front of my very eyes/lens. To do this on Active Rain would be a perfect venue I thought. There are so many talented people on A/R that I truly admire, and look up to.
