Residents of Concord MA have so many wonderful treasures in their community, and 51 Walden is no exception. FOPAC (Friends of the Performing Arts in Concord) manages this historic building and puts on many events throughout the year for residents to enjoy. Their mission is to "maintain a venue at 51 Walden and provide an environment where individuals and groups in music, drama and other arts may perform for the enjoyment of the community". Concord, MA is the oldest inland town, continuously inhabited, in America- and it's celebrating it's 375th birthday the weekend of September 11th and 12th. There are many wonderful activities to enjoy. Saturday morning, starting at 10am, a birthday parade will take place. There are more than 90 entries, including many marching bands, floats, marching groups, and tributes to Veterans. Hopefully the weather will cooperate, but if not, there is a rain date scheduled the following day, Sunday, Sept. 12th starting at 2pm. Parking Solutions for South Acton to Boston MBTA Commuters Acton MA is located approximately 25 miles northwest of Boston, and the commute to the city can be a challenge on the highways. The MBTA rail offers an alternative, however parking has been a limitation for this option.
