Have cabin fever? Forget the cold and snow outside. The 186th Annual Philadelphia International Flower Show runs through March 8th at the Philadelphia Convention Center. This year’s theme is “Celebrate the Movies” inspired from Disney and Disney-Pixar movies thanks to a Disney partnership.
The nation’s largest flower show, with over 250,000 visitors, will feature horticultural displays inspired by the work of horticulturalists/ artists and provide a week of entertainment and education. The show covers 33 indoor acres, with exhibit space taking up 10 acres.

The Philadelphia International Flower Show is the world’s biggest and oldest flower Show, which blossoms between the end of February and the 1st week of March annually at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
This year's theme will be "ARTiculture: Where Art Meets Horticulture,” focusing on how landscapes, gardens and floral arrangements have inspired artists from the Old Masters to the Impressionists to today's Postmodernists. The main-entry feature will include 20-foot-tall frames of plants representing well-known paintings and sculptures created throughout the centuries.
What should we be doing in our landscape this time of year? Seems this is a big part of what we should be doing in the next few days in South Central PA, but there are also a great number of other jobs that either help you with end-of-season cleanup, or let you get a jump on the 2014 garden. Wrap up planting your tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses and other spring-flowering bulbs before the ground freezes. You will be pleasantly surprised over the (3 comments)
