mississauga homes for sale: August Already? - 08/01/13 09:54 AM
We can all feel it, can’t we?  As soon as we turn the page on our calendars to August, we know that there isn’t much left of summer so we try to squeeze in as much time outdoors as we can.  We don’t want to think about anything but how much more summer we can get before we start to change our wardrobes and our schedules.  In my neighbourhood, I see excitement starting for the little ones as they think that school is just about to start and they get to wear new clothes and use those clean books and sharp … (2 comments)

mississauga homes for sale: The Importance of A Home Inspection - 03/12/12 10:41 AM
With the housing market continuing to spark bidding wars, there are buyers out there that are presenting offers without the benefit of doing a home inspection.  They feel that this will make for a 'clean' and 'strong' offer and will make it more acceptable to the seller. Big mistake.  Major problems are found after the fact and you, Mr. or Mrs. Buyer, have to come up with more money for the repair.  Buyers become very unhappy.  The home inspection is far from perfect.  But, it is the best way at this time to safeguard your investment.  It gives you the opportunity … (3 comments)

mississauga homes for sale: First Impressions In Real Estate - 03/17/11 01:41 PM
In a hot spring real estate market, even homes that don't give the greatest first impression will sell. As the Spring market starts to cool, the listings that show well will be the ones that sell faster and for a better price. A house that isn't properly prepared may struggle to sell. Staging and preparing a home for sale is more critical now than ever before. While interior decorating concentrates on making people feel more at home in their interior space, the objective of staging is to make the home more marketable inside and outside. Staging usually involves getting rid of clutter … (2 comments)

I have chatted with brokers on how to maintain a good credit score. I have suggested to my clients about how to repair their credit scores.I have had clients that have had a poor credit score. With proper guidance from a financial expert, the credit scores have been improved and the final result was the purchase of a home. Many clients … (0 comments)

mississauga homes for sale: Congrats To All University and College Grads - 06/17/10 02:16 PM
Well, folks! One of my 'children' has gone and done it! She graduated University of Guelph. Got her Honours Degree in Science -- Earth Sciences to be exact. Loaded my small family in the car early this morning to get to the ceremony on time and headed out. We had great seats. The Piper led the faculty in, followed by the graduates of that particular day/time slot. The first thing noticed was, "where are all the guys"? Not many in this time slot. Parents all around us and it was a shame that we were only allowed 3 guests. Some families … (0 comments)

Well, here we go!!! The first long-awaited weekend for the year is finally here. The weatherman hasn't given us too much good news about the weather, but who cares! We all know that we'll be able to spend some time with family and friends. The garden centres will be extremely busy. I was at Sheridan Nurseries earlier this week and the staff was out in full and they were like busy little bees putting out plants, watering and getting things ready for the shoppers. I must say, I have participated in previous years, but I have now learned to wait another … (1 comments)
