google banning: BlogBlaster - Possibly the Worst Idea of the Year

A friend (who I won't name here) recently sent me a link to BlogBlaster - a tool that claims (among many things) to create 2 million links to your website or blogsite. One aspect is to generate better search engine results - the following claim speaks to this benefit. "Blog Blaster will automatically create thousands of links to your website - which will rank your website in a top 10 position." Imagine you're a Google analyst and you noticed a red flag appear for somePoorBastardThatUsedBlogBlaster.com on a master dashboard that you watch.
