parker: Beware Falling Into a Money Pit When You Buy Your Denver Home - 11/21/09 02:14 PM
Has the new and improved tax credit sparked your interest in buying a home?  Between the credit, the interest rates, and the pricing, the Denver home buying scene has been lively these days.  Sellers finally have some incentives to put their homes on the market, plus we're seeing renewed buyer demand for the smaller, less expensive type of home often popular among first timers.  Sellers are realizing that even if they cannot ask what they would like to ask for their homes, they will benefit from lower pricing on their next home while realizing a $6,500 tax credit themselves. parker: Denver Market Update - 01/13/09 02:21 PM
As you can see by the chart below, the average price of a single family residence fell almost 14%.  But, look at the breakout.  Detached single family homes fell a little more that 16%, while condo, townhomes and patio homes only fell 8.46%.  The interesting thing that I am seeing, though, is that Parker, Aurora and Highland's Ranch saw an INCREASE in average price from November to December of 2008.  The Real Estate Market is definitely different from city to city and from neighborhood to neighborhood.  If you'd like an update on what direction your neighborhood is trending, just give me … (0 comments)

parker: Mortgage Rates are Increasing! - 10/13/08 02:45 PM
Rates on 30-year mortgages are on the rise.
Freddie Mac reported that 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages averaged 6.10 percent this week.  The recent commotion in credit markets has pushed those rates up from a seven-month low of 5.78 percent on Sept. 18, to above 6 percent for the past two weeks.
Rates on 15-year fixed-rate mortgages, rose to 5.78 percent, compared to 5.77 percent last week. Freddie Mac noted that the rise in mortgage rates from lows hit two weeks ago had dampened a spurt in homeowners wanting to refinance. The Mortgage Bankers Association reported that loan applications fell 23 percent last … (0 comments)

parker: Hess Road will connect Parker to Interstate 25 - 08/25/06 08:10 PM
08/23/2006 from the Parker Chronicle
Douglas County will use Hess Road as the major east-west connector between Parker and Interstate 25 much to the chagrin of homeowners adjacent to the road's proposed alignment. The Douglas County Board of County Commissioners made its quarterly visit to Parker Aug. 17 to discuss several road projects in the area. They gave updates on improvements and extensions to Parker's roads, but the hot topic of the night was the plan to use Hess Road as an east-west thoroughfare to the highway. The county initially planned to use Stroh Road as a limited-access highway to Interstate … (1 comments)
