new home: DON'T FINISH YOUR BASEMENT! - 11/19/07 11:45 PM
If you or your clients are buying a new home soon, I am going to show you why you should NEVER finish your basement, at least for the first year!  However, after going through what I have been through, I will now ALWAYS recommend for my clients to finish the bathroom in the basement instead of just leaving the rough-in that the builders typically provide (which is included in the price).  For those who don't know what a rough-in is, basically it means that the drain pipes have been put in place for when you want to finish your bathroom later! … (13 comments)
