The post below on one of my other blogs seems to have hit a chord with many people. It was in the top ten for most popular post on wordpress.com for most of the day yesterday and is sitting at number 12 right now. It has really not even taken off on Stumbleupon yet and it has over 1500 visitors today (less than 30 are from stumbleupon.com.) Animals in Heaven? After my presentation on Social Media on Friday tot he Arizona Real Estate Bloggers Network, I decided to try some social media marketing on a few posts here on Active Rain. I hit acouple of milestones (for me) as a result of that little experiment. I had my first day when traffic to my AR blog was more than 1000 unique visitors (1,446) It was also the first time any of my blog posts on AR had been read more than 1000 times. Buzz marketing is a term often associated with word of mouth and viral marketing techniques. One of my online associates was talking about buzz and buzz marketing online the other day and I thought I would do some poking around and see who was making a name for themselves in that space. I ran across a story about half.com and the guy who made them famous by using some inexpensive buzz merketing techniques.
