agent ethics: Who owns those images? In your blog? Of your listings?

I spend a lot of time reading real estate blogs - But I always wonder where those great images come from. Are people just grabbing images off a google image search? Snagging photos or comics from other websites? If you are - they are probably copyrighted images. If you didn't personally take the photo - you don't have the right to use it. That's right - if you didn't take it personally. That includes the photo of that new listing. It's an easy to remember rule of thumb. If you start from that premise - there is less of a chance (12 comments)

A DIFFICULT TRANSACTION I recently completed a rather difficult real estate transaction with another agent. I was the listing agent on a bank owned property. The buyers agent worked with buyers that stuck with the process for over 3 months. The property had multiple problems - water in the basement, cracking drywall, holes in the walls. At one point - the bank gave the potential buyers a counter offer which the buyers accepted. The bank then backed out of the deal. That's right - they "verbally" gave me an acceptance which I conveyed to the buyers agent. But when I sent in the contract to be signed, the "higher ups" (5 comments)
