I Voted Early on Nov 1, 2016 .. How about You? I voted early today in Fort Bend County TX and there were no lines. At the start of early voting last week the lines were reported to be very long and the time necessary to cast a ballot way longer than 1 hour. What I have heard is there are a huge number of people who have chosen to vote early for this national/local election. Harris County TX Conducts Citizen’s Police Academy Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman is inviting Harris County residents to attend Citizen’s Police Academy which starts its 11 week program on Thursday August 18, 2016. These classes are held one night each week for the 11 week . The mission is to educate citizens about the realities of law enforcement while receiving their feedback and concerns.

Harris County TX Opens Suburban Passport Offices Harris County TX District Clerk’s Office has continued to expand its quick and efficient Passport services by opening offices in suburban areas such as Katy, Clear Lake, Humble and Spring. This is excellent news for all of mentioned area residents as most folks are painfully aware of the long lines present at Passport Office(s) located in the Houston area accompanied by a of course very long wait times. Harris County Master Gardeners Hosts Fruit Tree Sale The Harris County Master Gardeners will hold their fruit tree sale and symposia on Saturday January 31, 2015. The plant preview starts at 8 AM followed by the sale at 9 AM lasting until 1 PM.
The sale features peach, apple citrus, pear, avocado, olive, berry and pecans all being deemed suitable to grow in the Katy and Houston area soil and climate.

I have mentioned this several times as many times residents and nonresidents get confused by this situation. I personally live in Fort Bend County but not that far away from Harris County and most folks are indifferent to looking at a county distinction when buying a home. The Thomas A. Glazier Senior Center Education Center is offering a smartphone class on Friday May 24, 2013. The class starts at 1 PM and lasts until 3 PM. It is advertised as teaching you everything you need to know about smartphones.
