August 23, 2015 - CPA Engineering on the Job in Katy TX
Last weekend I found a LED under cabinet or shop light at Costco which by eye balling would fit under our kitchen cabinet which lights up the kitchen desk. The previous light finally stopped working a few years ago and replacement lights today are totally different  than the one the builder put into our home. The old light was also hard wired by an electrical cable into the light and I could not find any lights similar to replace the old one.The lights I found all had plugs which go … (14 comments)

Reminder: Texas Hunting and Fishing Licenses Expire August 31, 2015
Last month I received a call on a Saturday morning from a guy who needed assistance with obtaining a fishing license in Texas. I tried to help but the best I could do is to tell him to do a Google search for Texas fishing licenses. He said he already tried this and my information showed up on the search? HUH... I have no idea how this happened but I thought it was a good idea for me to obtain some basic data in case this happens again. I do not … (16 comments)

Almost Wordless Sunday - Sunset
I like both sunset and sunrise pictures here in Katy TX plus experiencing the wonderful sight. I have told other folks this fact on several comments I have left over the years. My best sunset picture was taken in Newport Rhode Island during May this year but my camera got grabbed by someone when I put it down to look at merchandise in a store. The camera was an OK one but nothing to fret over,  however,  I lost my disk with pictures I had taken so far on the trip.

I am not sure exactly where … (19 comments)

Almost Wordless Sunday -  Kangaroo in the Countryside
As many folks already are aware of we traveled from Katy  to Melbourne Australia back in early July 2015 to celebrate our anniversary. One day we ventured on a tour to the wine district being the Yarra Valley. We had a great time sampling wines and the scenery was gorgeous.

After the last wine sampling our tour guide went on a few country roads in search of kangaroos. We were very fortunate as we saw several. My camera did not take very many good pictures through the windows of the van we were traveling … (28 comments)

Home Buyers Should do Final Walk-through | Tips as to What to Cover
Every Homebuyer should do a final walk-through of the home they are buying prior to closing. I tell my clients In Katy TX the walk-through should be done in the late afternoon or evening of the night before closing or on the morning of closing before papers are signed. Sometimes new home builders have their own prefered day and time to do this walk-through. There certainly can be exceptions to the day the walk-through takes place. Seller’s and their Realtor have to be notified in advance as an appointment … (16 comments)

What is a Pocket Listing I keep Hearing about Mr. Katy TX Realtor
This is an excellent and timely question for consumers to ask these days. The Pocket listing or Off-Mls listing is a situation which seems to have occurred with higher frequency the last couple of years in Katy and the whole Houston market place. This phenomenon is the result of lower levels of inventory of available homes being the norm across many neighborhoods throughout the whole Houston market place. Bidding wars sometimes break out due to these low inventory levels and high home buyer demand.
