Reminder Sales Tax Holiday Starts Friday August 8, 2014
The sales tax holiday will be in full swing starting tomorrow Friday August 8 at Katy Mills Mall in Katy and throughout the whole state of Texas. The holiday lasts until Sunday August 10, 2014. See my previous blog which discusses the holiday here. The state of Texas has published a list of tax exempt items. Essentially most clothing, school supplies and backpacks are exempt as long as the item is priced at less than $100. The Thomas A. Glazier Senior Center Education Center is offering a smartphone class on Friday May 24, 2013. The class starts at 1 PM and lasts until 3 PM. It is advertised as teaching you everything you need to know about smartphones.

It may seem real obvious to some but I have had several questions from folks who are moving into Texas from out of state concerning the existence of energy pipelines. Texas is still a major producer of crude oil, all types of petroleum products and natural gas. Pipelines of various different sorts are scattered all across this state and are definitely here in Katy Texas. There are numerous petroleum refineries and chemical plants through the state. Yesterday We Welcomed Two New Family Members but they can not replace our BFF little dog. I found Dwarf African Frogs being sold at our local card store and the bowl they come with has two frogs plus the store told me they could live 5-10 years!! I decided my step-son’s miniature fighting fish needed some company. No don’t call the guys in the white coats to come grab me as I have not lost my mind.
