conifer real estate: Conifer Real Estate in Piano Meadows

Piano Meadows is high above Conifer and accessed through the Shiloh subdivision in the Richmond Hill area. This is a secluded community I like to call a hidden gem in the Rockies. Although the neighborhood feels as though it's miles from anywhere and on top of the world-- it is actually an easy drive of only a few miles to US highway 285. This community is easily recognizable from most places in town by Riley Peak. Frequently referred to as Horse Tooth Mountain because of it's unique shape and has the odd characteristic of a large antenna between it's two peaks. (0 comments)

Green Valley Ranch has a variety of homes for sale in Conifer, Colorado. A large community (roughly 200 original home sites platted) with options for a variety of horse properties. In Jefferson County, where Conifer and Green Valley Ranch is, zoning and acreage are two factors when determining if a home is suitable for horses. In Green Valley Ranch homes have three horse eligible zoning classifications; A-2, MR-1 and MR-2 as well as grassy meadows and several sites with large acreage. While the majority of the homes are tucked into a lodge pole pine forest, some are better suited (0 comments)
conifer real estate: Evergreen Meadows West in Conifer

Evergreen Meadows West is a beautiful community spanning the hillside just above the Jefferson County open Space: Flying J Ranch. The land was originally part of the ranch and was developed with consideration to the owners aviation passion. The names of the streets in Evergreen Meadows West are all related to airplanes! Street names like: Warhawk, Corsair, Marauder, Thunderbolt and Bearcat might take some back to the dogfights of World War II but in Conifer the names take us to homes in the mountains above a peaceful meadow! Evergreen Meadows West is easily accessed from Conifer via Highway 73 and Shadow (0 comments)

conifer real estate: April Storm Buries Evergreen and Conifer
- 04/20/09 07:56 AM
April 18 and I'm writing from my little horse ranch in Conifer at about 8000 feet. We are snowed in! I was able to keep my driveway open for most of yesterday but I eventually got stuck-- even with chains. And now the snow has accumulated to a depth well beyond the capacity of my Ford F350 or it's captain.
We lost power some time after 2 AM as did all of Conifer and most, if not all of Evergreen. According to IREA we can expect to the power loss to last through the weekend and possibly as late as (0 comments)

conifer real estate: When "They" Say Denver is The Best place To Live--"They" Mean Evergreen
- 03/03/09 03:21 AM
I've blogged in the past about Denver and the Denver metro being ranked among the best places to live. This is not only my opinion but now a certifiable fact. It turns out that when most people are realizing that the grass is greener elsewhere—they’re thinking about Denver, and they’re right, but probably really picturing Evergreen! According to a new national survey by the Pew Research Center’s Social & Demographic Trends project; 43% of respondents replied that they would like to live in Denver and it’s surrounding metropolitan area-- when I hear someone say "surrounding area" I hear "The Mountain towns (0 comments)
