bob wall: Golf Tournament went off without a hitch - 06/30/09 09:33 AM
The 4th Annual Truel Watts Memorial Golf Tournament was held Saturday, June 27th and was a success! Lunch came from Front Porch Grill: grilled chicken, potato salad, baked beans, cole slaw, rolls, … (5 comments)

bob wall: Countdown to the Tournament - 06/24/09 09:28 AM
Been busy getting ready for the 4th Annual Truel Watts Memorial Golf Tournament. Sponsors have been harder to come by this years as have been players. Guess donations & golf games are one of the 1st things to take a hit when budgets get smaller. One thing that seems to confuse me is that all the banks that donated last year are saying no this year. Between not lending much if any money and now not donating any money it just makes me wonder where exactly is all that bail out money going? Just a thought.
Anyway the tournament is this Saturday … (3 comments)

bob wall: Green Resolution-Garden Tips - 01/07/09 05:39 AM
Katie Jackson from the Alabama Living Magazine...has a program that can sustain your yard with much less environmental impact.  Last year her New Year's resolution was to make her yard more sustainable.
It was not easy..While lots of information exists..it is scattered among various resources and was hard for me as an amateur gardner to pull together a comprehensive plan. Now I no longer have an excuse thanks to a group of Alabama scientist and outreach specialists.

This group of experts has launched a how-to program, currently called "Alabama Yards & Neighborhoods," that  promotes sustainable landscapes that can be used … (0 comments)
