boise idaho real estate: Create a free Google Site in minutes and expose it to your sphere
- 01/30/10 06:15 AM
I am amazed at how many Realtors I run into that still don't have a website. Not having a website in this day and age is like not having peanut butter on your peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Many people simply don't know how to create a website and many think a powerful website is too expensive to create and maintain. I took a Point2Agent site in 2007 and made it (with the help of many AR friends) a powerful lead generating machine. This site, Search Idaho Homes.com is responsible for generating 7-10 good leads per week like clock work. However, I have spent (27 comments)
boise idaho real estate: Buy Real Estate in Idaho
- 01/22/10 05:08 AM
Buy Real Estate in Idaho This seems like a no brainer but I have been pleading with Idaho Home Buyers and Idaho Investors to buy, buy, buy! The reason I say this is that in 1987 I had the opportunity to buy real estate in Idaho at incredible prices that would have made me a very wealthy man today. I tell the story that in 1987 I could have purchased one-third acre lots bordering the fairway of one of the most popular golf courses in Idaho for only $5,000 each and didn't buy them out of fear! I am embarrassed to (9 comments)
boise idaho real estate: Where's the bucks?! >> Does blogging = Big Bucks?
- 01/06/10 09:13 AM
When I discovered Active Rain in early 2007 I went nuts blogging my little heart out and very quickly became Idaho's #1 Active Rain blogger, a title I relinquished in mid 2009 with no regrets. When I did my major blogging it was after hours, usually well after 8:00 p.m. and into the wee hours of the night. I could do this because I am divorced (No, blogging did not cause my divorce silly!) and had the time to do it. I quickly learned about the SEO benefit of Active Rain blogging from friends like Chris Elizabeth Griffith, Cyndee Haydon, and (26 comments)
boise idaho real estate: The top 5 changes I have observed in real estate
- 01/02/10 12:35 PM
In my nearly 30 years in the real estate business I have seen the business of selling real esate change dramatically. I have to say that in the past few years I have seen some pretty dramatic changes and below I have listed some of the changes I have seen and what I deemed to be important if Realtors are to not only survive but flourish over the next decade.
1) The internet is here to stay and any Realtor that wants to flourish in the future in real estate must have a strong web presence. I have told many clients that before (19 comments)

Yes, it's happened again. For the past several years some national publication has picked Boise Idaho as one of the best places to live or a great place for business and industry. In 2008 Forbes ranked Boise the 2nd best place in the nation for business climate and careers. Forbes cited the diverse business climate, strong econimic foundation, diverse culture and the wonderful atmosphere which offers the Boise River runing the middle of the city and impressive mountains in the backdrop. And now U.S. News and world report has named Boise Idaho as the 4th best place in the nation (9 comments)

Early this year in 2008 Amy Bickers from the Kiplinger news Letter wrote about the best cities in 2008 in which Boise Idaho was name the 4th best city in the nation In that article Bickers asked the question, "How do any folks get any work done around here? The skiing, snowboarding, fishing, biking and kayaking in Boise are an almost irresistible temptation to desert your desk". Now Kiplinger News has written about "The Best Cities to Work and Play" and again the writers have named Boise the 4th best city to work and play The formula used to select the top (23 comments)
Something takes place every year like clockwork. What I am referring to is Boise Idaho. Yes, every year some national publication or organization writes something wonderful about the little city of Boise Idaho tucked away at the base of beautiful majestic mountains with the Boise River running through the heart of the city. Amy Bicker from the Kiplinger news letter visited Idaho and came away amazed. Amy ranked Boise Idaho as the 4th best city in the Nation for 2008. Amy wrote she doesn't understand how anyone gets any work done in Boise (11 comments)

Considering relocation to the Pacific Northwest? Take a serious look at a relocation to Boise Idaho. In September of 2007 USA Today wrote the stunning article No End in Site for Idaho's Growth. In the article the author references the strength of Idaho's economy due to its computer chip manufacturing, potato production, and it's "amenities business" which includes hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing and whitewater rafting which attracts thousands of new tourists and residents to Idaho - from billionaires to young outdoor enthusiasts. When you discover Boise Idaho you discover a city that has big city services with a small town feel. Boise is (3 comments)
boise idaho real estate: Discover beautiful Idaho >> Why I Love This State
- 04/16/08 05:36 AM
Have you ever had the feeling that you took your home for granted? Took your city for granted? Took your state for granted? I am a native Idahoan and have traveled to all but 7 states in this great country but I continue to be in awe of Idaho and the amazing diversity of this great state. One can travel all over Idaho and feel like you have been in at least 5 different states. It offers everything from deserts to majestic mountains and everything in between. Last September USA today wrote the amazing article No End In Site For Idaho's Growth and (27 comments)
The news the past year has been about the effects of the sub-prime melt down and the affects of the high number of individuals that are walking away from their home due to their inability to pay. Let me first explain what events took place to get us where we are today. Historically, real estate values have usually always gone up in this country. Read any books on investments and almost all will say that real estate is a solid investment. Just about every part of the United States saw prices sky rocket in 2005 and I heard many (7 comments)
boise idaho real estate: Short Sales in Idaho
- 04/04/08 05:27 AM
Idaho Short Sales Idaho has had one of the strongest economies in the country and with the diversification of agriculture (the states #1 industry), technology, tourism and service industries, Idaho has gained national attention for having a very strong economy. Even with the strong economy in Idaho, it still has seen the affects of the sub-prime mortgage fallout and the results of overbuilding that has plagued many parts of the country. This overbuilding has affected many homeowners who now need to sell. The vast amount of real estate inventory now on the market due to overbuilding and high foreclosures levels has (6 comments)
boise idaho real estate: Craigs List is a great SEO tool often overlooked
- 03/20/08 02:52 PM
I have written in the past about my luck with Craig's List. I am a fan of it not only for advertising properties but it is an awesome SEO tool if used correctly. The more popular sites link to your site, the higher your site will be ranked by the popular search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. Many know that I am not a fan of using Postlets, VFlyer and similar real estate fliers with Craig's List. The more information we give to viewers, the less likely they are to link to our sites, it is the basic rule of advertising (64 comments)
boise idaho real estate: Boise Idaho ranked 2nd best by Forbes Magazine!
- 03/20/08 07:35 AM
Stop all the presses! There isn't supposed to be any strong economies out there according to all the negative press. Foreclosures here, short sales there, jobless claims everywhere. "The Sky is Falling"! One cannot turn on the radio or T.V. or read anything published without being reminded about how bad things are. Forbes Magazine has just named Boise Idaho "The 2nd Best Place For Busines And Careers" in their rankings just realeased. Cities were ranked according to economic growth, cost of living, jobless claims, tax rates, etc. Last September (2007) USA Today wrote a wonderful article titled "No End In Site For Idaho's Growth" (16 comments)
boise idaho real estate: Boise Idaho Home Buying >> The ABC's of buying a home
- 08/28/07 05:16 AM
The news is loud and clear. Home prices across the country are falling and this has become a home buyer's paradise. Boise Idaho Real Estate is no exception. As of the writing of this blog there are 929 homes listed in Ada County between $100,000 and $200,000. This is the highest inventory of homes that I can remember in the 27 plus years I have been a licensed Realtor. To take advantage of the opportunities that exist there are some things you must consider when you make the decision to become a homeowner. 1) Get loan approval, not just pre-qualified. There is a big difference between the (2 comments)
boise idaho real estate: Silver City of Idaho >> An Idaho Treasure
- 08/06/07 06:37 AM
One of the best little drives one can take if you live in the S.W. corner of Idaho were I do is to the historic town of Silver City. If you are around my age you will remember Bonanza and The Rifleman, two of my all-time favorite T.V. Shows. Those two shows remind me of Silver City. When you drive south of the city of Nampa on Highway 45 you will eventually cross the Snake River of Idaho. You then turn due south on State Highway 78 and you will follow the Snake River for a few miles before you turn do west (20 comments)
boise idaho real estate: Boise River of Idaho
- 04/20/07 06:47 AM
The Boise River has long been a beautiful part of S.W. Idaho and supplies irrigation water, rafting, boating and fishing opportunities as it has done for many over the years. The river runs approximately 75 miles long starting in the mountains east of Boise, the capital of Idaho. As it runs through downtown Boise many beautiful parks border it and thousands take advantage of it during the summer months. It is common to see the Boise River dotted with rafters and fishermen throughout Boise and other parts of the river as it makes it's way through neighboring Canyon County. The river (6 comments)
