websites: Wikis in Real estate - 07/30/08 04:27 AM
As Realtors are becoming virtual wikis will become easier to implement. As technology improves there is a better acceptance of this type of instrument. Youtube has a great video of the basic concept and I thought I would share it. I have been trying to go to this for sellers, buyer and contract. Creating scanned pdf documents and the availability of them to every one involved. Has any one used this type of thing within the real estate business?
The link below is worth watching.

websites: Using ListingBook.com for customer service - 07/01/08 02:29 AM
I have been using www.ListingBook.com  for a number of years. It began in the Triad area of North Carolina and is now going national with a few MLS systems. This has been a wonderful tool in that it allows the interaction with customers and clients that is needed in today's business and budget constraints. It does not replace the human touch and has a welcome addition to the human touch. By allowing a streamline approach to the home search, the website gives enough information for buyers (and sellers) to make informed choices in which homes to view. There are many features that agents … (11 comments)

websites: Trulia Profile and effectivness - 06/25/08 02:08 AM
Recently Trulia has implemented a profile segment to be included with posting for listings. This is a great idea and hopefully will help enhance customer service.  This is a call to any one that has created the profile and wondered what feedback there is at this point. Does the absence of the profile on the listing create a negative impression>? Are agent just not aware that it is some thing to be filled out. What are the thoughts on how this can better serve the consumer.

websites: Pictures on AR Blogs - 06/12/08 09:42 AM
I have tried for several days to insert pictures on blogs with no success. The insert/edit box opens, however the browser feature does nothing when clicked. Has anyone experience this issue or is this a setting on the personal computer. should the java setting be different. This usually works well.  Any help would be most welcome.

websites: Listings on Craigslist - 04/28/08 05:59 AM
Listings on Craigslist are free, so there is nothing to lose. Often the price point is the limiting factor for generating inquiries. I keep site on my schedule of marketing because the more exposer the better the chances of having the home sold. Also an idea may be created as Craigslst has limited space which helps in eye catching phrases. Since this is specific to local markets it may also create some branding as to a nindividual agents name. I have not found any negatives to having listings on Craigslist. PLEASE share any experiences you have had on this server.

websites: Real Estate Website information - 11/19/07 11:33 AM
Real Estate Website information can be an extension of your knowledge and resources.I started using my website as an information data base of vendors and explanation of real estate processes. As calls come in, directing consumers to your website as information increases the confidence level. Especially when driving, pointing clients and friends keeps them in the forefront of the mind as well as giving them the information quickly. The current real estate information on things like plumbers and attorneys will also give a personal resource center. The effect of looking up contact information from ones own site is a reminder on … (1 comments)

websites: Website content for Real Estate - 11/15/07 01:45 AM
Website content is the driving force that provides service to consumers. Directing traffic to the website is much easier with good relavent information. Most consumers are wanting to look at homes for sale. Having suppporting information on Real Estate, Community and Mortgage issues are a confidence builder and helps create this loyality or at least being in the mind of a real estate consumer. I will ask friends to look at my website and use different features, particularly if they have asked a question. This way I can see how easy the site is to navigate, use and understand. If a … (2 comments)

websites: Website consumer service balance - 11/10/07 01:12 AM
Websites are here and are the preferred way that consumers are getting real estate information. There are multiple articles, blogs and advertisements each day on real estate sites and ways to do everything from bill-boarding to lead capture and beyond. The balance is to give reliable information and serve the clients in a way to create credibility and common interest. As consumers get comfortable with signing on to site ( not just real estate sites ) buyers and seller are becoming more likely to give limited information. As real estate professionals a constraint on over contact will serve this industry to gain … (6 comments)
