EMPTY BOWLS EVENT Now is the time to purchase your tickets for the upcoming Empty Bowls event. Tickets usually sell out fast, so don't put it off! Empty Bowls, a fund raising event for local food banks, is coordinated by our Resident Artist in Clay County NC, Mike Lalone. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased from our Craft Shop, United Community Bank in Hayesville, and the Chamber of Commerce in Murphy. Dan Miller, a Marine Scout Dog Handlerin Vietnam has been attached to the Third Battalion, First Marine Division for the past 2 years. Dan has been in Afghanistan teaching dogs and their handlers how to track and disarm IEDs. Dan is a member of the Marine Corp League in Murphy NC.
