Yesterday a young couple called me with, what for them, is a life altering question..."Is it a good time to buy our first home?". They have been hearing stories on the news that have them questioning the wisdom of investing in their first home. I believe with all my heart and soul that TODAY is a GREAT time to buy a first home, or a move up home, and here is why: Home affordability is at an all-time high. Now here is some great news for the lucky people who call Corona home! The Corona City Council has approved a new program that would rebate Corona residents $2,000 for the purchase a new qualified Alternative Fuel Vehicle or $1,000 for a qualified used vehicle.To qualify, vehicles must be powered by Compressed Natural Gas, electric/battery or be a non-diesel hybrid and meet emission standards set by the California Air Resources Board. Rebates are only available to licensed drivers living in the City of Corona.
