affordable housing: Cause Marketing - Could it be a Win-Win for you and those who need help?
- 12/16/09 03:18 AM
Times are tough - we've all heard that over and over. The Charities in our communities are receiving fewer donations because of everyone tightening their belts and purse strings. The numbers of those in need are growing as the resources to help them shrinks. As the winter holidays approach at breakneck speed, we are running around trying to connect with friends and family. Business planning seems to take a backseat and we say "I'll get to that after the first of the year." Now is when you should be planning for the success of your 2010 business, because when January hits - you want to

affordable housing: Veterans Day Handshake
- 11/05/09 06:08 AM
Honor America's veterans for their patriotism and willingness to serve our country Veterans Day comes and goes and few of us take the time to really reach out and say "Thank You." Few of us realize what they have gone through to protect our freedoms and our families. Many Vets won't even talk about the terrors of war and wouldn't claim to be a hero. But they are - all of them, past and current Military personnel. So on, November 11th, seek out a Veteran and shake their hand. Thank them for their service to our country. They'll feel good

affordable housing: Fall Back Time - I don't think so...
- 10/29/09 06:11 AM
Fall is the time of year of harvest, stowing things away and hunkering down for the winter. The old phrase of "Fall back and Spring forward" is a reminder for our clocks and smoke detector batteries. But too many people take the phrase "fall back" in the fall too literally! Fall should be a time to spring into action and set a new course for the coming year. This is the best time to look at your business and make adjustments. What elements of marketing your business"worked" and "didn't work" during this last 10 months. January is just around the corner. The proverbial

affordable housing: 9/11 Anniversary Salute to Fallen Heroes
- 09/08/09 10:47 AM
This Friday will mark another anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy. As when JFK was shot, or any other fateful day in history, we will look back and remember how we were affected on that day and the days that followed. The image that sticks in my mind was the dust coated civilians running away as the Emergency Workers, Fire Fighters and Police ran toward the chaos. Some of them never to return alive. And later the brave troops that defended our country then and now. Homes for Heroes program was created right after 9/11 by a group of Realtors as a

affordable housing: Helping Heroes will build your business
- 08/12/09 07:21 AM
Homes For Heroes was created by a group of Realtors after 9/11 as a way to give back to the Military, Police and Fire Fighters in the community for risking their lives to protect our country and communities. After a report on the CBS Early Show, heroes from across the country started contacting the Minnesota group. Now Homes For Heroes has a website and heroes in 46 states. The problem is we need realtors and lenders in those states to help these heroes. If you know of a civic/patriotic minded realtor or lender that would be interested in joining our program
