lender: Cause Marketing - Could it be a Win-Win for you and those who need help?
- 12/16/09 03:18 AM
Times are tough - we've all heard that over and over. The Charities in our communities are receiving fewer donations because of everyone tightening their belts and purse strings. The numbers of those in need are growing as the resources to help them shrinks. As the winter holidays approach at breakneck speed, we are running around trying to connect with friends and family. Business planning seems to take a backseat and we say "I'll get to that after the first of the year." Now is when you should be planning for the success of your 2010 business, because when January hits - you want to

lender: How do you "Pay it Forward?"
- 11/16/09 10:16 AM
Seven months ago I left an established career to work for free. Why would anyone in their right mind do that? Especially in today's economy. Because something in my heart convinced me to "Pay it Forward" - that the cause would justify the sacrifice and in the long run - it would make me a better person and reward me with new opportunities. I got into the Hero business. Helping Real Estate Professionals help their local heroes with a niche marketing program that focuses on giving back to those who give so much to our communities. Have you found a niche

9/11 is a time to reflect on the sacrifices others make so that we have safe communities to live in. Reach out to the Heroes in your community this weekend and thank them for their service. They put their lives in harms way so we don't have to. Their families deserve our respect as well for the sacrifices they make. Across the country Homes For Heroes Affiliates are giving back to these Heroes as a "Thank You" for their service in an effort to help them into a good home. lender: Heroes on Labor Day
- 09/04/09 09:32 AM
Labor Day is the "day we've all earned" right? Well, while you're out enjoying this free time, remember a couple things. That freedom in general came at a price. Our fallen military heroes are why we have a free America and safe communities to raise our families. And while you're out this weekend - notice the Police, Firefighters, EMT's and National Guard that are out there working. Take a moment to thank them - because they rarely hear it. It will mean alot to them - and you'll feel good too. God Bless America!

lender: New Homes For Heroes Affiliate in Chicagoland
- 08/24/09 07:07 AM
Very proud to announce our newest Affiliate in Illinois. Ralph Vargo is the first Realtor in the state and we look forward to being able to help more heroes there now! Ralph Vargo Like the owners of Home for Heroes and millions of others I too was horrified at 911 and the unnnecessary loss of life especially the firefighters and police officers just trying to do there jobs under one of the worst disasters in our nation`s history. Myself like so many others asked " What can I do to help?". Well, over the years I feel I made small contributions to the heroes

lender: Military Hero Handshake
- 07/01/09 05:08 AM
July 4th is just around the corner! They'll be lots of fun, food and fireworks. Enjoy the day. But keep in mind what we are celebrating. Our freedom and the nation we live in. On July 4th, 1776 we declared our independance and have held it ever since. But not without the great sacrifices of our military men and women. Our fallen heores deserve our praise and our current heroes deserve our respect. Take the opportunity this weekend to seek out a veteran or active duty member and shake their hand and say "Thank You" for all they've done and continue to do.

- 06/25/09 09:40 AM
Homes for Heroes Affiliate in Texas helps another Hero! The Villas"Wow, where do we begin?!?! Homes for Heroes not only helped us find our dream home, they saved us $2,374 in the process. Our Realtor calmed our home buyer jitters and made this a fun and exciting process! This was our second time purchasing a home and we understood the process a lot more this time. Our Realtor gave us the information we needed and explained things so we felt like confident, informed buyers and not in the dark. Initially we thought Homes for Heroes was just too good to

lender: Happy Fathers day to our Hero Father's out there!
- 06/22/09 02:25 AM
Father's Day was another opportunity to Talk with my dad about what he remembers about being in the Services. As a young man in Minnesota - he sold his tractor and nine cows and joined the army. Patriotism ran very deep back then. Now days there are also these men and women who give all for their country. Mom's and Dad's willing to part with family, possession, and time to serve our country and protect our rights. I owe them all my respect. Happy Father's day.

lender: Homes For Heroes Affiliate Program
- 06/14/09 04:01 AM
Recently a Realtor posted a blog regarding her interpretation of our Homes For Heroes marketing program. And everyone is entitled to there views. This Realtor must already have a program in place to give back to the community that works. Some Realtors are looking for a way to give back and differentiate their company from the many others in their community. I encourage everyone do what they can to give back to those how give so much to our communities and country. If a Realtor or Lender is looking for an established and successful program for giving back to the community

lender: Imitation is the best form of flattery, until..........
- 06/04/09 02:48 AM
Until your good name is besmirched. Homes for Heroes in the past has taken people leveraging our brand as flattery. We often ask if they would like to continue to use our good name by joining forces with us, and if they do not want to we are okay with that decision also. But recently something came up that does need to be addressed. We will let the Morris Daily Herald explain it. Illinois allegation hurts ‘real' Heroes Minneapolis, Minn-When Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan took enforcement action against the Minooka, Ill.-based Homes for Heroes Inc., says Brad Oosterhuis, it

lender: Charities - some good, some have other plans
- 05/27/09 01:51 AM
This week has been interesting. I'm learning that not everything is as it seems, or you trust it is. There are alot of great charities out there that are doing alot of good. But this week I got my Google Alert - and it presented a guy using our trademarked Homes for Heroes name and using it to fund a so called charity to pay his personal bills. Not only is he tarnishing the good work Homes For Heroes is doing, but he's taking advantage of our Heroes which is even worse. My advice is to always check the legal status

lender: Memorial Day memories
- 05/14/09 07:56 AM
As Memorial Day approaches - it reminds us of the incredible sacrifices our heroes have made for us. Service deserves it's rewards - but it seems like a lot of veterans have been passed by some how. Please take a minute in the coming weeks to reach out and say thanks to the veterans in your community. Especially our seniors. And for our modern day heroes - encourage these young folks for their selfless dedication to our country and help them where you can. We owe them our respect and resources.

Websites are always a challenge. The current website for Homes For Heroes is very basic - but you have to start somewhere. Next week I'll undertake a re-design effort. This is a "call for comments" on what you think would be useful to someone looking at our site for the first time. WHAT'S MISSING? Your comments will be appreciated. - Brad

lender: CRM search!
- 04/30/09 04:31 AM
Does anyone use the perfect Customer Relationship Management (CRM) online program? I'm looking! I'll need a program my Directors can use across the country as we build this program in all 50 states. In addition to building a Director staff I'm making media contacts to spread the message about "Homes For Heroes" - if you know of a civic and patriotic Realtor or Lender, please have them check us out.

lender: Starting Line
- 04/24/09 01:40 AM
Well I guess we've all been there in some form - I feel like I'm at the Starting Line of the big race. I've gotten introduced to all the key people, have read all the literature and and got my laptop working (kinda). This race has no finish line though. Success is like breathing. A big breath of fresh air is wonderful - you always want more. But you have to let it go to get another. So I'm breathing deeply and taking it all in because Homes for Heroes is such a great cause and business idea. I'd welcome thoughts,
