inspiration: Look What Chris Pratt Posted On Instagram! - 01/30/16 03:09 AM
Actor (and funny and cool dude) hris Pratt posted an early morning photo on Instagram of his drive to Atlanta with an inspiring message:

"It's 3:20am. I got picked up for work at 6:45am yesterday. I'm not good with math, especially after being up for approximately 61 hours but I think I've been up for over 77 hours. I did a table read for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 this morning and then shot all day on Passengers and just now wrapped some 144 hours later. Weirdly both films, which I'll be shooting back to back, are being shot in Atlanta at … (3 comments)

inspiration: THIS Will Ruin Your Real Estate Business - 01/27/16 02:06 AM
Drive for perfection costs you thousands and THOUSANDS of dollars… and it will ruin your real estate business. Consider this…
There was a ceramics teacher who announced that he was dividing the class into two groups. All those on the left side of the studio, he said, would be graded solely on the quantity of work they produced, all those on the right solely on its quality.
His procedure was simple: on the final day of class he would bring in his bathroom scales and weigh the work of the “quantity” group: fifty pounds of pots rated an “A”, forty pounds a “B”, … (4 comments)

inspiration: Why Are The Other Agents Such A**holes? - 12/17/15 08:06 PM
My student Jessica wrote: "A lot of feedback from non-realtors that they would not welcome a realtor door knocking their homes. And I've seen a lot of realtors question the practice and call it "sleazy."
Jessica, don't trust a skinny chef! Here is what I mean...
Everybody out there has opinions and advice...and most of it is worthless. See, most agents make less than $40,000 a year. You know why? Fear. Fear of discomfort. Rejection. Fear of hard work. Deep rooted self-doubt, poor self-esteem, money issues...
So here you are, full of passion and hope and enthusiasm... All of a sudden YOU are willing to break … (62 comments)

inspiration: $14.95 Rip Off - 01/21/13 09:39 AM
I was staying in an elegant upscale hotel in San Francisco.  My room was spacious and clean. And expensive. Being the A-type workholic I am, the moment I unpacked, I was behind a big desk to get some work done before the seminar. I fired up my laptop when I noticed it.
A simple note with instructions to connect to the hotel wireless. For $14.95! A day. Seriously?
Rip off. Yes. Hell yes! Big-time rip off. BUT...
I had a choice. I could have come up with reasons -- completely justified reasons to feel bamboozled and cheated.
I could have called the concierge and have … (14 comments)

inspiration: Turbaned Tornado - 12/26/12 11:20 PM
You CAN'T DO THAT! Impossible! It's too much! It's too hard!
How many times have I heard those words (or uttered them myself!) And how many times have I stumbled because of it.
Goals I didn't reach... Dreams that remained just that - dreams. All because I thought it was impossible. Too much. Too high. Out of my reach. Too hard!
Happens to all of us, right? Then, a teacher appears that gets us back on track (and back to reality that ANYTHING is possible and within reach). Like the Turbaned Tornado...

inspiration: My Dad - 06/15/12 10:17 PM
Here is what I remember the most. On Sundays, my dad used to take us to a nearby park to play a fierce game of soccer. Me -- about ten, with my younger brother against my mom and my dad. Then ice cream afterwards (extra scoop for the winning team :) I remember Christmas. Awesome, cold, snow-covered Christmas and my dad and I flying down the hill on our wooden sled. I remember playing fun games with him. Tons of funny stories and jokes that always made me giggle. Mountains, hiking, ocean, sun.... And his smile -- his big warm glowing … (2 comments)

inspiration: How Great Are You? - 05/28/12 09:47 PM
How Great Are YOU?
"Only last week I murdered a rock, injured a stone, hospitalized a brick;
I'm so mean I make medicine sick.
I have wrestled with an alligator, I done tussled with a whale,
I done handcuffed lightning; put thunder in jail.
I'm gonna show you how great I am."
~ Muhammad Ali
This week go for GREAT. Shoot for AWESOME. Push a little harder when going gets tough (and you already know it does at times). Roll up your sleeves, take a deep breath, look forward with confidence.... And just go for it -- full speed ahead.

inspiration: Memorial Day Thank You - 05/27/12 12:26 AM
“Words are even more feeble on this Memorial Day, for the sight before us is that of a strong and good nation that stands in silence and remembers those who were loved and who, in return, loved their countrymen enough to die for them.”
~ Ronald Reagan

Thank You.....

inspiration: I Don't Feel Like It!!!! - 05/24/12 10:00 PM
Me (grown up): "Honey, finish your word study."
Lilly (6): "But I want to go outside."
Me: "You have to finish your school assignment first, honey."
Lilly: "I wanna go outside first."
Me: "Sweetie, we'll go outside, but first you need to get your homework done."
Lilly: "But I don't FEEL like it!"
Me: "....."
Sounds familiar, right? And here is the kicker....
Replace homework with PROSPECTING or FOLLOWING UP, or CALLING -- any of those things we allSHOULD be doing, and all of a sudden it's about YOU.
I'm busy. I'll do it later. I DON'T FEEL LIKE IT.

Are you a Seinfeld fan? Here is how Jerry Seinfeld became a successful writer and THE highest paid comedian ever, earning $87 Million per year even now, years after his popular show ended.  "You only get ahead by writing better jokes. And you only write better jokes by writing every day," was and advice Jerry got from another comic. So here's what Jerry did. He got a wall calendar and a red pen. Every day he sat down for a few hours to write jokes. Then, he put an X on the day. After just a few days, he had a … (6 comments)

In 1967, Kathrine Switzer was the first woman to run The Boston Marathon.
After realizing that a woman was running, race organizer Jock Semple went after Switzer shouting, "Get the hell out of my race and give me those numbers!" However, Switzer’s boyfriend and other male runners provided a protective shield during the entire marathon. The photograph taken of the incident made world headlines. In 1974, Katherine won the New York City marathon with a time of 3:07:29! Sign Up! Show Up! Don't Give Up!

inspiration: A Note From Future - 04/30/12 12:13 AM
Remember the Adam Sandler movie CLICK? He plays a busy architect who finds a universal remote control for LIFE. Just push a button and you can skip forward and back to different parts of your life.
So I was wondering...
If you could go back to last year -- to May 1, 2011, what would be the ONE THING you would change? What would you do differently, knowing what you know now?
And if you could rewind further back, let's say five years, back to May 1, 2007... And you had a chance to leave yourself a sticky note, … (6 comments)

inspiration: Four quick tips to boost confidence - 03/22/12 12:19 AM
"What is your number 1 recommendation in building confidence as a listing agent? I understand that at the end of the day, the first step is the hardest, and sometimes, it's like Nike "Just do It" but... when you first started, how did you overcome the fear and the lack of confidence?  Thanks for a great system - I really do enjoy your approach taught on the DVD - I can see myself with the softer approach.I appreciate you sharing a little bit of the mental strength - which is mostly needed in this business."

inspiration: New agent lists 10 expired listings -- in 10 weeks! - 03/12/12 07:36 AM
What makes this guy different from the rest of the agents? He doesn't have any super-powers. No big marketing budget. No big list of past clients or years of experience -- Gary has been in real estate just 15 months. He is in a very competitive and crowded real estate market with almost 10,000 agents. And yet -- right out of the gate he listed 10 expireds in 10 weeks.
Like you, I was curious how he did it. I chatted with Gary and recorded it for you -- to inspire you and to show you that ANYONE can get good … (6 comments)

inspiration: Wishes of the dying - 02/03/12 11:51 AM
Bronnie Ware is an Australian nurse who spent several years  caring for patients in the last 12 weeks of their lives. She recorded their dying epiphanies in a blog called Inspiration and Chai, which gathered so much attention that she put her observations into a book called The Top Five Regrets of the Dying.
Ware writes that people gain an incredible clarity at the end of their lives. As she asked her patients about any regrets or anything they would do differently, she discovered that common themes surfaced over and over.
The most common regret of them all?
