motivation: Look What Chris Pratt Posted On Instagram! - 01/30/16 03:09 AM
Actor (and funny and cool dude) hris Pratt posted an early morning photo on Instagram of his drive to Atlanta with an inspiring message:

"It's 3:20am. I got picked up for work at 6:45am yesterday. I'm not good with math, especially after being up for approximately 61 hours but I think I've been up for over 77 hours. I did a table read for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 this morning and then shot all day on Passengers and just now wrapped some 144 hours later. Weirdly both films, which I'll be shooting back to back, are being shot in Atlanta at … (3 comments)

motivation: They Don't Care About You - 12/08/15 08:21 PM
People don't care about you. Your prospects.... your clients... They don't care how challenging and complex -- and at times CRAZY real estate is... What it takes to get a home sold... The daily hoops you have to keep jumping through as an agent just to put food on the table.
They don't care. They are worried about THEMSELVES. They are tangled in THEIR life.
Their problems with little Timmy at school. Seven extra pounds they gained after Thanksgiving -- AGAIN! Car needing new brakes -- AGAIN! Their boring job... bad weather... incompetent boss... traffic on the way to work -- AGAIN!
And their house … (32 comments)

motivation: $14.95 Rip Off - 01/21/13 09:39 AM
I was staying in an elegant upscale hotel in San Francisco.  My room was spacious and clean. And expensive. Being the A-type workholic I am, the moment I unpacked, I was behind a big desk to get some work done before the seminar. I fired up my laptop when I noticed it.
A simple note with instructions to connect to the hotel wireless. For $14.95! A day. Seriously?
Rip off. Yes. Hell yes! Big-time rip off. BUT...
I had a choice. I could have come up with reasons -- completely justified reasons to feel bamboozled and cheated.
I could have called the concierge and have … (14 comments)

motivation: Turbaned Tornado - 12/26/12 11:20 PM
You CAN'T DO THAT! Impossible! It's too much! It's too hard!
How many times have I heard those words (or uttered them myself!) And how many times have I stumbled because of it.
Goals I didn't reach... Dreams that remained just that - dreams. All because I thought it was impossible. Too much. Too high. Out of my reach. Too hard!
Happens to all of us, right? Then, a teacher appears that gets us back on track (and back to reality that ANYTHING is possible and within reach). Like the Turbaned Tornado...
Meet Mr. Fauja Singh - called the Turbaned Tornado. Mr. Singh recently celebrated his 101st … (2 comments)

motivation: How Great Are You? - 05/28/12 09:47 PM
How Great Are YOU?
"Only last week I murdered a rock, injured a stone, hospitalized a brick;
I'm so mean I make medicine sick.
I have wrestled with an alligator, I done tussled with a whale,
I done handcuffed lightning; put thunder in jail.
I'm gonna show you how great I am."
~ Muhammad Ali
This week go for GREAT. Shoot for AWESOME. Push a little harder when going gets tough (and you already know it does at times). Roll up your sleeves, take a deep breath, look forward with confidence.... And just go for it -- full speed ahead.

motivation: I Don't Feel Like It!!!! - 05/24/12 10:00 PM
Me (grown up): "Honey, finish your word study."
Lilly (6): "But I want to go outside."
Me: "You have to finish your school assignment first, honey."
Lilly: "I wanna go outside first."
Me: "Sweetie, we'll go outside, but first you need to get your homework done."
Lilly: "But I don't FEEL like it!"
Me: "....."
Sounds familiar, right? And here is the kicker....
Replace homework with PROSPECTING or FOLLOWING UP, or CALLING -- any of those things we allSHOULD be doing, and all of a sudden it's about YOU.
I'm busy. I'll do it later. I DON'T FEEL LIKE IT.
You already know WHAT you need to do to make money in real estate. That part … (7 comments)

motivation: Don't You Break The Chain! - 05/13/12 09:47 PM
Are you a Seinfeld fan? Here is how Jerry Seinfeld became a successful writer and THE highest paid comedian ever, earning $87 Million per year even now, years after his popular show ended.  "You only get ahead by writing better jokes. And you only write better jokes by writing every day," was and advice Jerry got from another comic. So here's what Jerry did. He got a wall calendar and a red pen. Every day he sat down for a few hours to write jokes. Then, he put an X on the day. After just a few days, he had a … (6 comments)

motivation: Times Are Hard - 05/04/12 09:55 PM
They told you times are hard. They told you it's not meant to be. You don't have what it takes. You're not cut out for this.... They told you you're a dreamer. It's time to get real. You've been knocked down too many times, so why not just quit? Why not? BECAUSE THEY ARE WRONG.
Watch -- and remember WHO you really are. And what's possible. Enjoy! BorinoListing Presentation System - Presentation PLUS

motivation: A Note From Future - 04/30/12 12:13 AM
Remember the Adam Sandler movie CLICK? He plays a busy architect who finds a universal remote control for LIFE. Just push a button and you can skip forward and back to different parts of your life.
So I was wondering...
If you could go back to last year -- to May 1, 2011, what would be the ONE THING you would change? What would you do differently, knowing what you know now?
And if you could rewind further back, let's say five years, back to May 1, 2007... And you had a chance to leave yourself a sticky note, … (6 comments)

motivation: Four quick tips to boost confidence - 03/22/12 12:19 AM
"What is your number 1 recommendation in building confidence as a listing agent? I understand that at the end of the day, the first step is the hardest, and sometimes, it's like Nike "Just do It" but... when you first started, how did you overcome the fear and the lack of confidence?  Thanks for a great system - I really do enjoy your approach taught on the DVD - I can see myself with the softer approach.I appreciate you sharing a little bit of the mental strength - which is mostly needed in this business."

motivation: It's half time in (real estate) America - 02/06/12 03:42 AM
The talk this morning is just as much about a great Superbowl game last night (congrats Giants!), Madonna (love-hate about 50-50), and of course, the favorite commercials.
Clint Eastwood and "Half time in America" definitely stood out, didn't it? Serious, emotional, and hitting the heart and soul. Provocative pep talk with heavy nostalgia and healthy dose of motivational punch over images of family, our flag and hard-working but STRUGGLING America.
It's supposed to carry serious but uplifting message that we are down, yes, but our "second half is about to begin".
The successful (and rich) don't really need Clint Eastwood to … (4 comments)

motivation: Wishes of the dying - 02/03/12 11:51 AM
Bronnie Ware is an Australian nurse who spent several years  caring for patients in the last 12 weeks of their lives. She recorded their dying epiphanies in a blog called Inspiration and Chai, which gathered so much attention that she put her observations into a book called The Top Five Regrets of the Dying.
Ware writes that people gain an incredible clarity at the end of their lives. As she asked her patients about any regrets or anything they would do differently, she discovered that common themes surfaced over and over.
The most common regret of them all?
"I wish I'd … (6 comments)

motivation: Thank You - 12/25/11 02:09 AM
Did you watch "It's a Wonderful Life" again this Christmas? Remember the the part of the movie when George Bailey is talking with the old angel Clarence? And Clarence reminds him "Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?"
Remember, YOU are making a big difference. If you just live out the life you were sent here to live, magic happens. You really don't have to worry so much about the minute details. Don't get stuck on stuff like "positioning" and "diffirentiating" and "social media technology". Those … (43 comments)

motivation: Take the Mind Test - 12/13/11 06:37 AM
You've heard it a million times: It's ALL in your mind.  Your  hopes, your dreams.... and also fears that are holding you back -- all in your mind. But just how real are those emotions? And how much power do they really have? Take a quick test and find out.
First, imagine you're standing on a thick black wire that is laying on the ground. Can you walk on it? Of course you can! Not a problem, right? Imagine your feet taking the first step, then next, then one more... It's a breeze to walk from one end to the other. … (2 comments)

motivation: Money is tight. I cannot afford it. - 12/10/11 04:57 AM
This morning I recieved an email from an agent. He wanted to buy the Success PLUS but said: "I absolutely can not afford to spend that much money!."
Here is what I wrote back:
I know, I hear it alot: "Money is tight. Business is tough. I cannot afford stuff."
And that's the problem. Sorry but I have to go a little Tony Robbins on you here. See, as long as you worry about money, as long as you stress over it, feel that there is just NOT enough, as long as you think that spending a few dollars on something … (7 comments)

motivation: Stop, Wait, Go! - 10/24/11 11:58 AM
I know, this business sometimes sucks. It’s not complicated, BUT it's not EASY, either. Piles of stress, difficult transactions, overpriced listings, grueling hours, unrealistic sellers, dead deals...  A long LONG list of annoyances and irritations can squeeze you like soft orange until you have no more energy (or desire) to go on... There are only two types of agents: Those who have been there and those who don’t want to admit it ;)Tired and discouraged you may be wondering if leaving that cushy teaching job to become an agent was really a good idea. Here are three things that will hopefully … (2 comments)

motivation: There Will Always Be Obstacles - 10/22/11 09:21 AM
I was sixteen, maybe seventeen, when it happened. My friends and I were riding on our favorite trail by the riverbank. Six big, beautiful horses, happy and eager to fly forward, loving the freedom. The air was full of summer; nothing but blue sky, majestic trees bathing their branches in the slow stream of the river, sun overhead, and the world zipping by us in exhilaration.
The path veered to the right, away from the river and into the forest. We were going fast, way too fast for such a narrow road. Then the time stopped for a split second. My … (9 comments)

motivation: "I can't afford to die!" - 08/09/11 01:15 PM
If it wasn't documented by cameras and the media, nobody would have believed that it was possible:
A man was handcuffed, shackled, and thrown into a cold water of Long Beach harbor, where he was quickly fastened to a cable. The cable was then attached to to 70 (seventy!) boats, bobbing up and down in the harbor, each carrying a person. Swimming against a strong wind and waves, the man then swam, towing all 70 boats and passengers behind him for over a mile.
Oh, and the man in the water was just celebrating his birthday -- he had just turned … (6 comments)
