Brighton Condo Market Update - Q1 2013 Brighton has always been a popular area for fist time buyers or parents looking to buy a condo for their child as they attend college or grad school (a.k.a. - kiddie condo).
Just ran some comparative numbers for the first quarter of 2007, 2012 and 2013. Prices are rebounding for both the general condo market as well as the one bedroom condo market.

There is always a lot of press about year-to-year or month-to-month real estate sales data, but I like to look at real estate over the longer term since there are always natural cycles that occur. Most buyers have a minimum 5 year timeline for ownership so I went and looked at what average one bedroom condos sold for in the summer market (June 1 through August 31) of 2007 and compared it with 2012 (all data from the Multiple Listing Service).
