Preparing for the Change: "Change" is something people throw around quite often (especially new years, right?). Things are different...things are weird. I've had a few listings in a row that sold before I even had time to get them on tour factory or Active Rain. I was driving by the Cabela's construction site today and couldn't believe how fast it is coming along. In the same drive I also noticed that the old Great Indoors has some construction vehicles parked by it. Guessing they are getting ready to knock it down, or at least part of it. I'm hearing they want to do more outdoor space. Also, there are some heavy rumors that IKEA will be coming in the near future to the area that was formerly the Polaris Amphitheater. This morning in Columbus, Ohio we had our annual Race for the Cure event. I have personally "slept in for the cure" many times, but this was my first time participating in the 5k run. My only regret when I finished was that I have squandered the opportunity to partake in past events. It was one of the more electric environments I have ever been a part of. I can remember studying real estate at Ohio University from 2000-2004. This was of course during the real estate boom and everyone was as optimistic as can be. The Polaris Area, in Columbus OH near Lewis Center I have lived in the Polaris area for the last 8 years, so perhaps my view is somewhat biased, but the continued growth of this area is absolutely astonishing.
