The most significant transaction was 5 Bare Cove Lane, Hingham, which had been on the market for a year and a half. Originally priced for $10.8 million, it sold for $7.15 million. In January 2014, Duxbury's real estate market was much more active than the previous January, with 16 closed transactions compared to five in January 2013. Prices paid were in line with the 2013 averages. So while prices don't seem to be rising much, properly prepared, properly priced homes are attracting willing and able buyers.
