I'm a big fan of our Coldwell Banker Previews International Luxury Market Report. It's gorgeous. It's informative. It's fun. Before I moved back to the South Shore, I lived for most of a decade in Telluride, Colorado. Telluride features the best ski mountain in the United States, and is tucked away in the southwest corner of Colorado, making it delightfully difficult to get to, and sometimes, in a good snow storm, delightfully impossible to leave. Morgan Brennan writes a column and blog for Forbes.com. Her most recent article, The Most Expensive Billionaire Homes in the World, provides an outside glimpse on the locations and values of the most expensive homes ever sold, or for sale, in the world. My sense is that the list covers properties for which there is a public market value, and whose buyer is included in Forbes list of billionaires. When we think and talk about the comforts and security of home, we take an awful lot for granted. We enjoy enormous luxuries unavailable to anyone, anywhere on this planet, at any time up until the last few generations. Storm Nemo is over, and the power is back on here at my house. 250,000 people across Massachusetts are still without power, most of them within 50 miles of me. Recovery efforts are in full gear and will bring most of us back on-line quickly.
