Alden Elementary School is the Duxbury public school for third through fifth grade. It is located on Alden Street, near the Duxbury Yacht Club and the Duxbury Arts Center in Duxbury, Massachusetts. It's the second in the progression of four public schools in the Duxbury school system. The Chandler School educates pre-kindergarten through 2th graders, while the Duxbury Middle School is the public school for 6th through 8th graders, and students go on from there to Duxbury High School.

It's not over 'til it's over. After my last post about the Nemo Storm on the South Shore of Massachusetts ("Day of the Walking Dead"), the power was on until 3 p.m., then mysteriously shut off. Just then, Kathy and her parents came in with hot pizza from Kingston. The place had been mobbed, but the owner was just glad to be able to serve everyone and use his inventory, which might have gone bad otherwise. We enjoy enormous luxuries unavailable to anyone, anywhere on this planet, at any time up until the last few generations.
