If you've been reading my blog the last couple of months, you know that I've applauded the appearance of "hot" real estate markets in many metro areas, but cautioned that continued growth is going to require real job growth. Now comes a USA Today article that shows that home prices are up strongly in markets with best job growth. This is good news for those local economies. Let's hope that the job growth is in sectors outside the housing industry, and that the job market recovery becomes stronger and more widespread. Well, unless you want to risk incurring the (friendly) wrath of the Harbormaster if he catches you crossing the construction zone. I took a few minutes, after viewing a lovely beach home on the Gurnet this afternoon, to walk in the sunshine.

One of the fun parts of Patriots Day in Boston is the early Red Sox game. The whole point of an 11:00 a.m. start is that the Red Sox win early and the fans can stream out into Boston and take in the Marathon. It's hectic because it's a whole crowd of happy people.
