America's Cup sailing yacht, Oracle, turns on its foil at 40+ mph This is amazing. I can't think of a similar feat in the panoply of sport. This new technology, applied to the sport of kings, is truly revolutionary, in so many ways. These two yachts simply didn't exist -- no one nowhere had anything like this -- a year ago. The wing -- not even a sail anymore, but something that works on the same principles as a wing on an airplane -- and foils under the hulls that lift the hulls out of the water lead to boat speeds well … (4 comments)
