Looking for a fun activity in Arlington, TX this weekend? On Saturday, Arlington is holding its second annual Lake Arlington Paddling Adventure. This is an opportunity for the grown ups and the kids to get out on the water and paddle a canoe or kayak while learning about water safety and conservation. You will be able to canoe or kayak down a trail, take a short boat ride, and participate in a fun race for prizes. There will also be plenty of games and prizes! After 60+ days of 100+ degree temperatures, the Cities of Fort Worth and Arlington have finally implemented lawn watering restrictions. This is considered Stage 1 restrictions. There are several restrictions including watering only 2 days a week, restrictions on watering days based on even or odd number street address, and also there is no watering at all on Monday. We all knew this would be coming since it has been so ridiculously hot for so long now, but it’s just amazing that it is coming so late in the summer.
