The Summer is going out , and inching in is the beautiful fall season.  My window is open and the fall breeze is cool,  but  invigorating. The window is also open to my mind, and I sense this lovely time of year is about to begin.
Memories are being scattered all around my cranium. Yum! I smell pumpkin spice I smell a crackling fire. The wood is oak  and pine. I can almost taste chili simmering on the front burner of my stove, and homemade bread baking in the oven. Guess what!? I am so hungry !.&lt;img src="https://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/agents/brendakasprzyk/files/chili.jpg"&gt;Many people put the Capri Restaurant at the top of their list, and I can see why. The food is very good, and generous portions.   Here's a  couple of reviews  from yelp," My family and I have been eating here for years. Consistently excellent food, great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Best Eggplant Parmigiano ever! The fish specials are outstanding, too. You will also love the "Chicago Pour" on the wine. You can't beat it. It is very busy, but it doesn't seem crowded. The waitresses and waiters are as friendly as can be.

The skillets are divine, and they have pumpkin pancakes this time of year. The most Unique Restaurant on my list  is the " Harvest Room "&lt;img src="http://chicagosuburbhome.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/HarvestRoom-300x111.jpg"&gt; That is the place that gets an A for presentation. It is the place where you want to put your jewelry on and look a little finer. It is the place to go for a friend's birthday.  Their concept is simple: from the farm to the table. They specialize in cage free eggs and grass fed beef. That should win you over, but if you still need a little coaxing, try their bread pudding. Unbelievably decadent!! You just can't be good all the time!     I can't have a list that doesn't include a pizzeria. my choice is Jullianni's Pizza. &lt;img src="http://chicagosuburbhome.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/jullion.jpg"&gt; Sometimes it is just nice to get a pizza where you are waited on, and the pizza is fresh out of the oven. It includes cheese in a shaker, a side salad, and a draft beer, if you are so inclined.
This restaurant is roomy and the waitresses/waiters are friendly. They cater to families. Their pasta dishes are also very good.    Jullianni's is family owned and operated. There are printable coupons on their website.
Last but not least, I just must have a Chinese restaurant, and that is Hunan Inn.  They have an excellent buffet. I noticed that they put small amounts out and watch with eagle eyes to refill. The food stays  fresher and more appealing that way&lt;img src="http://chicagosuburbhome.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/mongolian.jpg"&gt; &lt;img src="http://chicagosuburbhome.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/hunan.jpg"&gt;
. There was quite a selection. The Mongolian beef practically melted in your mouth! Excellent Chinese cuisine!
There you have it. These are my five favorite restaurants in Palos Heights: a  Italiano Ristorante Place, a Breakfast Place, a Unique, Organic Place, a Pizza Place, and a Chinese Place.
I need variety! However, I have yet to name my ultimate favorite of all. My favorite is 'ANYPLACE' as long as I am with family or friends. It can be ANYWHERE as long as I am filled with happiness. While let's jump in our vehicle and head down Harlem Avenue. five miles from the Palos Hills Librarynestled a little east of Harlem is, ta-da," the Palos Heights Library"
The library was incorporated with the state of Illinois on May 8, 1944. Believe it or not, the library's first home was the front room of a Palos Heights resident, Walter Ward. Is that wild or what? The library obtained itsown building at its present location in September 1972 and expanded to  11,400 square feet in 1988.
In 2002, an architect was hired and the residents of Palos Heights voted to fund an addition/renovation of thecurrent building to over 31,000 square feet. Boy! That is a far cry from someones living room which held 100 books for distribution! It has been serving the community at that location ever since. Many improvements have been made throughout the years.

On Wednesday, September 6th, there will be a presentation on The Bittersweet Truth about Sugar,this presentation will be presided over by nutrition educator, Chris Rosandich from 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm, also on  September 14th there is a presentation on the food of Mexico.&lt;img src="http://chicagosuburbhome.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/taco-300x150.jpg"&gt;  There are things to do for all ages from Story Times for Tots to Scrabble for adults. There is something for everyone. One never has to be bored or out of the loop.      If you don't have a library card, it is relatively simple to apply for one. Any resident of incorporated Palos Heights over the age of five can apply for one. Your card will be usable at 75 Chicago-land  libraries. Just bring in a valid state photo ID with your current Palos Heights address on it!     The library hours are many and will fit into any work schedule.
Don't forget Free Breakfast for Grandparents at Palos Heights Library on September  8th at 10:00 ,  mingle with others.

Mother Nature does such a good job of painting in the Fall, with hues of yellow, red, orange, and brown. Toddlers will be tracing their hands and pasting them on a stark tree. According to an article in The Southtown, Palos Hills Mayor, Gerald Bennett states that "with free
parking and free admission, you don't have to spend a dime if you don't want to. There's plenty
of free entertainment.There's music in the beer tent for the entire four days"There is also a family carnival at the festival. Mega passes cost $40 prior to noon July 9th at Palos
Hills Community Center, 8455 W 103rd St., and $50 at the festival. There will also be food
vendors and a petting zoo.And guess what? The colors, and sparkles and noise are not over yet!! The
festival will conclude with Flashing Thunder Fireworks!
We will be checking out ideas for the rest of the month also!

We just recently bought our 5th camper. We have gone from pop-ups to slide ins,to Class B, and now a 23 foot pull along. Just recently we purchased a 2005 , 23 foot Outback by Keystone, it can sleep 7,  all the cabinetry is white, with a bathroom and shower ,plus rear bunk beds, it was perfect.During September we took our granddaughter camping for the weekend  to Michigan to pick apples. (apple crisps.) As we were going down the highway the front panel of our camper started ripping off from the top corner, we immediately had to get off on the next exit.and pull over. Since our camper was fiberglass we were able to tear the panel off. What we discovered was the wood was all rotted and that was why the fiberglass was pulling away. Since we bought it used ,we had no recourse, and didn't have a clue to the shape it was in.&lt;img src="https://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/agents/brendakasprzyk/files/ROTTEN%20CAMPER.jpg"&gt;We continued on our way  (nothing was going to stop us) we had a great camping weekend, . As soon as we got home we had to cover the corner with a tarp  in-case it rained. We called all the R.V. Centers that were within  2 hours of us , and none of them could help us. Some were so busy,and the prices they quoted us were through the roof.Then we found Recreation Plantation, the best R.V Center in Illinois. Recreation Plantation is a 4 generation family owned dealership. They really care about the service they are giving you. The minute Ray started talking to us ,we knew He really knew his stuff., also He took the time to answer all our questions. Ray the owner actually took on our camper, and LOVED the challenge. He was able to replace the rotted wood, and get a piece of fiberglass,  custom cutting it , and securing it to  the corner of the R.V. He did such an excellent job that you cant even tell there was a problem in the first place,also the price was very reasonable!&lt;img src="https://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/agents/brendakasprzyk/files/CAMPER.jpg"&gt;&lt;img src="https://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/agents/brendakasprzyk/files/CAMPER1.jpg"&gt;At Recreation Plantation not only do they sell and repair R.V.s, but they'll  consign yours, they'll  even travel to campgrounds with 75 miles  to help folks with camper problems.
