- 05/06/10 08:40 AM
The issues with Active Rain servers seem to be mostly resolved, though some AR Outside Blogs have missing template photos. I also realized on May 4th that Google Analytics had disappeared on Outside Real Estate Blogs I monitor, so those of you with AR Outside Blogs using Google Analytics may want to ensure your code is still installed after the recent Active Rain glitches, which I know the AR staff worked very hard to resolve: Thanks! PS: Your Twitter code may be gone on your (inside) AR Blog. Sign up for a Google Analytics Account. Email if you need help: brett.fagan(at)prumt.com (11 comments)

The newest update on the vibrant Bozeman, Montana Housing market from Housing Predictor, Sept 8, 2009: The financial crisis dealt a severe blow to the national economy that will take many years to overcome. - 03/18/09 03:40 AM
I was dropping my son at school, two blocks west and eight blocks south when Main Street Bozeman exploded. Though folks on the ground felt the blast ten blocks away, my son and I, having been in my truck during the explosion, heard and saw nothing except wailing police cars. Just exiting the truck on West College, we made our way into his school, as we did every day, noting the throng of police cars racing north through thick Willson Avenue morning traffic, toward what we surmised was some major traffic accident downtown. It was only at the office that I (2 comments)
bozeman: Start That New Business in Down Times...like Microsoft
- 12/10/08 05:00 AM
"One reason why downturns tend to be good times to launch new businesses is because established companies abandon promising growth opportunities too fast. Oracle and Microsoft were both born in difficult economic times." ("All You Need Is Cash." But "BIG" does NOT mean "starting BIG," it means "thinking BIG" by putting together all the little pieces of a good business (3 comments)

(CCIM Institute) Coupled with the fact that Balance Sheet Lenders, i.e., institutions that lend per the Balance-Sheet, aka, Portfolio Lenders, are filling the void left by the dearth of solvent secondary Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) markets, it may be time to take another look at investing in smaller commercial real estate markets, because local lenders know their towns and commercial property real estate values are dropping in tertiary markets, too. Note: "Smaller banks also have higher capital reserve requirements (0 comments)
