      The Residential Real Estate market in Northwest Allen county continued it's solid performance in 2015.  Year over year improvement in all critical categories for home sellers (and homeowners peace of mind lol) including a 3% increase in the average sales price from 2014 to 2015.  Overall activity was up and the days on market improved as well.  Make plans to attend the November 25th  Night of Lights during downtown Fort Wayne's Holidayfest. Lighting ceremonies begin at 5:15pm at the History Center on Barr Street with the lighting of the turret. The full schedule of lighting ceremonies and activities including the Festival of Trees, Santa and his Reindeer lighting and Headwaters Ice skating can be found on the website.  A great way to kick off your Holiday season and continue or start a Fort Wayne tradition. 
 The evening concludes with my favorite activity, Fireworks at Parkview field starting at 7:45.

    The first half of the 2014 residential Real Estate market in Northwest Allen County dug itself out of the never ending winter with upward pressure on pricing due to lower than normal inventory.  The median sales price rose 7% year over year and nearly 5% since the end of December.  The number of homes sold was down slightly during the first half as a result of lower inventory numbers.

   I wrote this blog back in 2012 after having a few years as a Realtor under my belt. I came across it recently and wondered how much my attitude towards this business has changed since this post.
