If you have a primary residence in the state of Indiana, you have until December 31st, 2012 to verify that you are still eligible to receive the Homestead exemption through your county Auditor. Even if you have had the homestead exemption in past years, you need to verify that you are still eligible to receive the exemption going forward. If you don't do this before the end of the year, your 2013 property tax bill will go up.
