The Clear Creek Community Theatre has a number of great shows in August and September. Located at 18029 Upper Bay Rd., in Nassau Bay, it is easily in driving distance for Clear Lake, League City, and Webster, so I had better see you all there! Only kidding; if theatre is something that interests you, or you may just be experiencing it for the first time, it will certainly be a treat. The next show is “The Tempest,” their Shakespeare in Summer performance. Or if that’s not for you, check out, “The Pirates of Penzance,” it sounds fantastic. Come sail the high (0 comments)

Spoiler Alert - Its pretty darn good! Want high quality seafood with a more modern feel than Pappas? Bonefish grill is the right place for you. The food is fantastic especially the appetizers whether you get the signature “Bang-Bang Shrimp”, or my personal favorite, bacon-wrapped scallops. I can’t find anything bad to say about this place, and highly recommend trying it for yourself. Houston Bay Area is lucky to have such a great restaurant nearby, but Clear Lake, and League City shouldn’t feel left out. The drive time will only get faster when the highway expansion is complete. clear lake: CCISD is Throwing Out the Textbooks!
- 07/23/14 12:51 AM
Why is CCISD such a great school district to have your children attend? The test scores, and top-notch athletic programs speak for themselves, but what I’m talking about is the Latitude to Learn project. Hopeful to come into fruition by 2015, CCISD will have a tablet on a 1:1 level for every student grades 3-12. The reason behind this move, is to digitalize textbooks, saving the district up to $4 Million a year. It’s amazing how fast technology has grown, where schools can provide economically-friendly tablets for textbooks, homework assignments, and even virtual classes! Stuff like this makes CCISD that much (0 comments)

The YMCA can be anything you want it to be, from fitness, to daycare. There’s a wide variety of fitness classes- Zumba, spinning, and core work, to name a few. There are also a lot of summer camps that you may consider getting your kids involved in. A few that sound worthwhile coming up would be the Magic Camp and the Superhero Camp. If you are A) not a kid, or B) not interested in classes, there are other eye-catching alternatives to spend your time here. There’s an Olympic-sized lap pool and kids water park and an open court gym for (0 comments)
clear lake: Fish Are Friends
- 07/18/14 01:11 AM
What better way is there to support the Houston “Bay” area than conservation? The CCA works at great lengths to ensure a long-lived and healthy coastal environment. Don’t just enjoy nature, make it last, so that future generations will be able to experience the wonderful opportunities you had. Even if you don’t dabble in the nautical sorts, or like to fish as a hobby, anyone can donate as well as contribute through volunteer efforts. There are quite a few meetings you can attend for those more involved, some even have guest speakers. They do a lot of projects to conserve and (0 comments)

Those quirky Chick-fil-a cows are up to their usual antics. July 11th marks national cow day for Chick-Fil-A, and what that means to for you is a free meal! Don’t cheer just yet because the catch is you must come dressed as a cow. Yes, you read correctly, the terms are, come dressed as a cow to your local Chick-Fil-A or else… Only Joking, fully dressed bovines get their entire meal free, and partial cows get a free entrée. I suggest cows from Friendswood, League City and Dickinson, try the 646 location. Webster and Clear Lake cows, can try either the (1 comments)
The Houston Bay Area is booming, and I don’t just mean with homes. You may have heard the buzz about the amazing Bay Brook Mall Expansion taking place in 2015. I’m talking major growth in the area and surrounding areas, Friendswood and Clear Lake, both residential and commercial, with many new businesses springing up. You can also witness the constant construction of the highway expansion in Webster. You would think that a bigger mall means more traffic, but the expanding highway comes in to save the day, being that the newly-sized mall will then challenge the Galleria in stature. Unfortunately, if you are reading this, you already missed out on this year’s festival, but there is always next year. What is not to love about this place? It is located at the Clear Lake Park in Seabrook Texas and offers authentic Greek cooking with an astonishing selection of pastries. The Brian Worrell Team, Realtors specializing in Clear Lake and League City encounter this issue on a regular basis. The buyer has completed their inspection. They still want to buy the home, but... Now they have a list of repairs they want completed by the seller. Some repairs might also be lender requirements, but that's a whole different issue altogether than what I'm going to address here.
