The amateur golf league has been around for a while but it definitely sounds great. The initiation fee for one year is $59 and as you purchase more years of membership, more savings. ¿Hola, como estas? If you don’t understand, then you may consider taking classes at UHCL this coming fall semester. Languages offered include, Spanish, German, French, Mandarin Chinese, Russian and Japanese. This is for students of all ages and is organized by the Foreign Language and English Enhancement Program. The courses will run from August 25th- October 10th, and the deadline to sign up is August 22nd, so get right on that. Located at 1515 Hughes Rd. in Dickinson, it is for their event, Run for Health, a way to express the importance of exercise. The newest addition to the shopping strip in League City off of 646, Quaker Steak and Lube, gave me doubts. But don’t let this oddly named restaurant fool you. The food is fantastic! While perusing through the lengthy menu, a choice was to be made. The Mac and cheeseburger or play it safe and get the wings.
