- 04/10/12 07:22 AM
I'm excited to announce that I have received the Texas Monthly Magazine 5 STAR award again for 2012! Thanks to all of my clients that again gave me this vote of confidence! Here's how they chose the award winners: Our research team contacted consumers in the Houston region and asked if they had experience working with a real estate agent. Consumers who agreed to participate in the survey provided the name of the real estate agent and rated that individual according to key criteria such as integrity, negotiation and closing preparation. Surveys were sent to Houston region residents who recently purchased (2 comments)

How To Communicate In America: - Scheduling Appointments I realize there may be cultural differences or regional difference... I realize some people may be used to doing things a certain way. We value our privacy here in America, and definitely in League City, Friendswood, Clear Lake, and Houston. And when it comes to real estate, we are already having that privacy invaded constantly, so please: Don’t show up unannounced. The only person expected to show up unannounced is Dawg the Bounty Hunter. Get confirmation for appointments ahead of time. You do not have an appointment scheduled if all parties have not (2 comments)

houston: Houston Metro: Model Metro - JOB GROWTH AND LOW COST OF LIVING!
- 05/29/10 02:40 AM
This article below written by Joel Kotkin at Forbes Magazine, as it's title would imply, argues that Houston, Texas is a Model City. More specifically, that the Houston Metro is a model Metro area (including League City, Clear Lake, and Friendswood!). Now, to answer the critics that think this article may have been written by Houston insider, I say this: people from Houston are Houstonians -- not Houstonites. Anyone from around here knows that! ;-) The author, Joel Kotkin, is an internationally-recognized authority on global, economic, political and social trends. Mr. Kotkin attended the University of California, Berkeley. A native New (4 comments)

houston: Some Showing Services are Better Than Others - By a clear mile
- 03/08/09 03:45 PM
Showing Center Services – waited on hold for 5 minutes and it took an additional 5 minutes to schedule the appointment because they had to set me up with an account. I had to spell my name, first and last, give my company name, spell it, give the city, spell it, give the state, zip code, my phone number, etc and the appointment didn’t get set up on the spot. They had to then call me back. They are located in Pennsylvania. And I have no problem with good ole PA. My parents were born there. It’s beautiful. Hershey is there. (3 comments)
Appraisals... just how subjective are they? I had the recent pleasure of dealing with a 5 digit gap between appraisal and sales price. My market research was thorough. I know my market. I know we got a bad appraisal in. We got a second appraisor to go out and give a second opinion, but what I'm really wondering is - Should appraisors be allowed to listen to national media?
