laurel real estate: Maryland Real Estate - Making a Bid - 05/26/11 11:08 PM
Once you've found a house you like, you must decide how much to offer. In putting together your actual offer, consider the followingseven factors:
The advertised price of the Laurel Maryland Real Estate listing - Treat this as only a rough estimate of what the seller would like to receive, and recognize that different sellers price houses very differently. Unless you are payingcash for the piece of Maryland real estate, you cannot buy without backing from a lender, which comes in the form of a commitment letter. The lender willrequire that you have a homeowner's insurance policy on the property,so you will need to arrange this before the closing.
At closing you will be asked how you want to hold the title, which basicallyrefers to ownership. If you alone will own the piece of Maryland real estate, it's soleownership; joint tenancy applies when two or more people are … (0 comments)

laurel real estate: Buying A Condo In Maryland - 01/15/11 01:49 AM
Kevin Kelly, a lender in Phoenix AZ, wrote a great blog post about things to watch out for when purchasing a condo.  You can see that blog right here.
Though Kevin works in Arizona, the points in his article are very relevant for buyers of Maryland condos.
His three main points:
Occupany Rate.   Fiftyone percent of the units must be owner occupied. Delinquency Rate.   In Maryland, no more than ten percent of the owners may be behind on their condo fees. Litigation.  If the condo community is currently involved in some sort of litigation, this could impact loan availability. If you … (1 comments)

laurel real estate: Money For First Time Home Buyers Of Laurel Real Estate - 09/06/10 01:35 AM
There is plenty of money out there for first time home buyers of Maryland real estate.
Last month I found a home in Brentwood Maryland for a Prince Georges County teacher.  This particular buyer qualifed and received over $18,000 from various programs.  The best part is that she doesn't have to pay it back!
The state of Maryland through its CDA program gives many first time home buyers a $5000 grant.  This teacher also qualified for a "Match Program" through her employer, which gave her an additional $10000.  I think she got the the final $3500 through another program.
Regardless, she … (1 comments)
